Honestly now, a backflip must be one of the least technical tricks i know of. I'm sick and tired of all the little 13 year olds in the park being impressed by a stupid backflip, if everybody knew how easy they are, they would all be throwing them down.

Doing a backflip is a simple matter of popping off the lip while doing a pelvic thrust (like you're boning sarah burke) and throwing your head back, as long as you dont close your eyes you cant help but to spot your landing.

Easy, right?

every single trick is easy. really there is nothing that I can't actually do. the only thing is getting my head to actually do it. you get?

maybe it's the vodka or peach schnapps or khalua or beer or ice but it's just that you g3et your head to do it and some people have some roadblocks so they have to knock ethm down. The whole thing about doing a backflipthat makes it 'hard' isn't the fact that you went upsidedown. it's that you got had the guts to flip back and risk your life.... So people thinking a backflip is hard is a good thing more props for something easy. me... I will never learn a backflip. don't want to. I'll make up new stuff that's fun. that's when you know you can do somehting that few people can do. did I make sense? PS I had to do a lot of editing in my posts tonight. and my bed is calling me like a 400pound exgirlfriend.

Yeah, I think alot of skiing really is just about balls. I liked it when i was afriad to do backflips, I had to get over alot of fear and when i threw it i was so fucking scared, i think its just fun being scared like that.

If I setup a backcountry booter on a powder day I would be first to try one.

But on a puplic terrain park..I dunno aye, all icy and shit.

Perhaps in the afternoon when it's real slushy, and If I see someone else throw one before me..

Yes, I learned fronts on a day when the kicker we were sessioning just got lots of pow... It was fun and I didn't get hurt at all. Some boarder friends of mine were trying loops but it wasn't working too well...

No, they really are that easy. All you guys who are reasonably comfortable in the air, i reccomend that next winter on a nice powder day go find a pretty steep hill and start throwing, cause as long as there is enough snow and the landing is steep enough, even if you land flat on your head you will not get hurt.

I'm not trying to make fun of anybody, im just saying that they are really easy and everybody shouldnt be so impressed when they see one.

always remember that the most important part of doing any trick is comitting to the rotation.

honestly...every trick is like that...to do a misty 5 you just put your right arm on your left knee and tuck (pretty much) frontflips are a little harder to start the rotation, but you just lean forward and tuck, cork 7....just look to your left and down below your arm....

if you know exactly what to do and what everything feels like...the rotation will always complete itself...the only thing that makes it harder is adding extra spins or grabs into tricks....but if you through something right, it'll come around

you can say cork sevens are easy, i even say that, but try doing them unnatural, then youll know just how a begginer feels, you say you just throw your right arm down, but if you do it with your left hand its tottaly different, and this is how a begginer feels.

hey 360 are realy hard..took me about 5 or 6 months to land one...you keep at it...o my god i dont even want to go near a backflip until i get the propper instruction from a professtional skier.

if ya commit to a trick and get enuf air ull probably come around on it. my freind who really sucks at roatating stuff accedently did a cork 9 trying a underflip 7 but he didnt land very well. My first backflip i had ever tryed was on skis and i landed on my head cuz i didnt do it on something else first. so just learn it on the tramp then find a steep and soft landing (steep is more important) and go for it. Learn easy tricks first then move up.

Yeah, backfilps are pretty easy, but I like doing them becuse you can do them off of almost any jump and it is garunteed to impress all the litte punks on my crappy mountain.

Backflips are definitly not very technical at all, that's all im trying to say, you dont even have to think about spotting your landing because as long as you dont shut your eyes you'll do it automatically.

what i was saying is that if you know how to set the trick, it just flows...even a switch 7...and i've never tried an unnatural cork on snow, but i can throw them on a tramp and they feel the same as regular, and i know snow makes it harder....

yea man...backflips are easy after you do them enough but the first couple times, especially if you dont have options of where and what you're learning it on. Like, my hill just doesnt get powder, its one huge terrain park. Learning backflips scared the shit outta me b/c i had to learn it off a 40 foot table with an icy landing. 40 feet i know not huge but it seems like it when you're throwing something you dont know. Easy for the dudes in the mountains who can land upside down with every limb twisted around and float out of it from powder. Not easy if you're learning on a curvey hockey rink. nuff said

 
skiing is just easy in general. backflips, frontflips, d-spins, they are all so easy i dont even know what the point of skiing is anymore. its just too easy. i am going to play horseshoe in my back yard now. bye.
