"yo man, im a pretty good skier ive been living in maryland my whole
life but been going to colorado and vermont every winter with my dad. I
like to fuck around in the backcountry and i love powder. Im 6'2 150
pounds, and im going to school out in boulder next year so im gonna be
skiing a shit load. thanks for the help."
Based on what you said I would look for something in the 110-115 range. the three skis I would look at are the Line Bacons, Dynastar Huge Trouble, and the Rossignol S7. Out of those te rossi is the only oen with any rocker, however all float just fine in powder. I would lean towards the rossi if you want a more directional ski, however it can still ski switch. Between the Bacon and the Huge Trouble go with the Bacon if you want a more playful ski, go with the Huge trouble if you want a more rounded ski that can handle less then ideal snow conditions. As for size I would look for something in the mid to high 180's, going a little smaller if you want a more playful ski and going a little longer if you want to go a little faster, but a few cm's is not going to make a difference. Keep in mind all the skis listed here are based on you already having a park ski, as these are primarily pow skis, however they can all handle the groomed runs no problem.
