Backcountry/Powder skiing in NY

The high peaks area around lake placid, crazy slides and in febuary or so they are usually skiable. I didnt end up going this year because of an injury when my dads friend was doing it but if your up for the hike colden has some siiick stuff, just as good as some out west. There are glades and fall lines all round this area too you just have to know where to look

Placid is pretty sick on powder days because there aren't many people there

i hear that deep in the finger lake alps there's a summit called Greek Peak.
