Backcountry in Kelowna

I just moved to Kelowna to go to school for the winter. Im from golden and deffinitly prefer backcountry skiing to the crouded slopes of a ski hill. Im used to skiing rogers pass and the incredible backcountry all around golden. Im just wondering if there is anywhere around kelowna where you can find any good touring. I know its along time till the snow flies here but im lookin forward to it. So if anyone knows of anywhere around kelowna or needs a touring partner for the winter let me know.

umm if you know where little white is theres sometimes some good touring back there and if you talk to some of the local snowmobilers they could probly hook you up with some sweet spots to strap on your skins
