next season i want to do more backcountry... my family has a house in tahoe donner in truckee... i dont know of many spots around there where there is good backcountry... does anybody know of any? im guessin there might be spots on hwy 40 or Castle peak and i herd of some deal sugarbowl has where u buy a one lift ticket...

^yeah snowmobile is the only way to get enough riding in, walking sucks. If your looking for people to ride with message me I'm allways looking for b.c. people.

i found a pretty sick place that u can get to form ur car, on the way from sugar bowl down to donor lake theres a fat bridge, after the bridge there like a big turn out for viewing, just hop on ur skis there and ski down to the next road which is the same road and have another person in the car pick u up

mount tallak is pretty sick. but its around south shore i think, so a little drive. (i don't know how to spell tallak, but that is how it sounds)
o course theres castle pek
and hw 40 is always sick if there is enough snow
just go out and hike some where. if it turns out sick go again. if it sucks, don't go back

thats asi. lots of options if you park either there, or higher up where the asi lodge is. you can go hit the western front qp thats pretty much an easy build if you want to walk for 15 mins or so... or you can go down the tracks to tunnel gap... plus theres all the 40 road gaps that have been done like 2342342 times.... its all pretty walkable.
