So according to backcountry "they guarantee complete satisfaction and an unlimited lifetime warranty.

If at any time -- now, next month, in 30 years -- you're not 100%

satisfied, send your gear back for a full refund. No questions asked."

I was just wondering if anyone had ever sent any gear back to backcountry and if this was true.

So just hit this thread up if you ever have sent anything back there and this worked

Thanks NS

i returned some pants that fell apart after like two weeks. it went super smooth. you just go to their website and get some number. i think its called an RMA and ship the stuff back with the RMA and order number in the box.

i haven't returned anything back yet but i know that this is the most legit site to buy gear.

I want to hear other people's experiences. and what happens to returned skis? they have a used ski outlet?

used gear goes on geartrade.com i think

i bought a jacket, never took it out of the package, then returned it like 5 months later. no hassles whatsoever. bc's return policy is legit as fuck

the only issue with this is some dicks take advantage of it. i know 2 boarders that buy their gear, and at the end of the season just send it back

yeah like i dont want to take advantage but i ordered 2009 line chronics and mounted them with look px12 jibs and the tail on the chronics is bent up like it is rockered and the brake on my px12s just broke right off and the plastic is broke so they arent able to be fixed so i dont know what to do other than send them back....

ohh yeah sorry i wasnt talking about you taking advantage of them. If i were you I would send them back. I was talking about people who just return their gear at the end of the year.

oh yeah man it's cool but i just ordered them this season and skied them honestly 7 times and the ski and binding both broke

backcountry.com makes hundreds of millions of dollars every year. to everyone saying don't take advantage of backcountry, i'm a bit more partial towards the starving ski bum then the multi million dollar ceos...

my suspects edge ripped out less than halfway through the season last year and i asked backcountry about it and they said send them back and i got a full refund. backcountry is a great company.

yeah this site is the shit. i sent back gloves after 1 and a half years and they sent me a new pair. also they keep sending those kickass stickers of the mountain goat.

the entire ski industry doesnt make 100's of millions a year.

to the OP, if you send them anything back, they will refund your money.

i bought a board from them, it fucking sucked, so i sent it back, and ordered another one of their site. it was like the greatest customer service thing ive ever had happen.

i've worked there. correct me if i'm wrong because i havent worked there for about a year and a half but their profit goals for december alone is always in the 30 millionish range. backcountry is much much much larger than just skiing. i know theres homies on here that work there now so i'd love to get some exact figures here.
also definitely agree with the support your local shop comment.

i had a pair of goggles that cost me 85 bucks returned them after a year and a half becuase my new helmet sucked with them I had all the $ returned to my bank account no questions asked.

i returned a pair of skis a few years ago, perfect condition but they had been drilled

i felt really bad about it but i give bc.com so much business now that i guarantee i have made up the cost of the skis in profits they've made off gear i've bought from them

Backcountry's PROFIT last year, or maybe even the year before now not sure about 2009, was around $100 million. They are much more than a ski shop.

to answer your question, you will definitely be able to return your stuff.

Agreed. They are my go-to store for things that I cant get locally. They took a pair of pants back that fell apart on me, as well as a binding that snapped in half! Although they couldnt get me the same binding that I had, they got me the next years model (next year from the one that I had) and only charged me the difference in price between the binding I had and the one they gave me. Really legit store!

Still that does not justify taking advantage of a shop that provides great service and prices, no matter when their profit margins.

Backcountry.com is my favorite ski shop period. Anyone who takes advantage of them is a prick.

I don't think you can take advantage of them unless you purposely buy things there just to return them later on. I mean if they didn't have that awesome return policy I don't think they'd get as much business. Its there for a reason, if you aren't satisfied. Buy to the OP buy a new brake and contact Line if you have problems with your gear. If Line can't help then I'd contact BC.

correct me if im wrong but doesnt backcountry also include all of the tramdock, steepandcheap and chainlove type sites, as well as dogfunk and others?

No of course not, i dont have a problem with people returning shit normaly. Im saying people who buy from bc.com with the intention of returning them at the end of the season or whenever they want new skis.

backountry is super legit and has alwasy worked well for me. but lets be real... letting you return your gear and get your money back on any day of your life is not a smart thing to say. you could buy a pair of pants, wear them for a week, then get your money back and buy a new pair. you cant make any money

i bet most people buy gear and keep it, a lot of people buy new shit that doesn't fit and return that, and a very very small number buys shit, uses it, and returns that

i agree 100%, unfortunately there are always guna be dicks that take advantage of this. makes me mad that people do this, but it is bound to happen. But it doesn't make it right

yeah i always get my work done at my local shop and they only carry like 3 pairs of twin tips, and somehow the plastic on my heel piece just broke off i don't know what happened but i have taken it to two shops and they said that i would need a new heel piece
