Backcountry camping + camera gear

Hey guys - a few questions:

so im going to be doing some video work this winter wish Josh Dirksen who is BIG into snow camping/igloos/backcountry epics. I have never done a backcountry overnighter, so im looking for some insight on how to minimize gear, and maximize efficiency.

What are some ways to get all the camping gear, and camera gear on my back without being weighed down too much?

My heaviest piece of equipment is my sachtler ace. Im going to most likely invest in a lighter ski setup (tech bindings, touring specific ski).

Any tips/advice greatly appreciated!

Also let me know of anything that is not essential/necessary that i can ditch. Thanks!

Ditch what you absolutely don't need. For me that would be my mattebox and rail system and my viewfinder loupe for my fs100. It will obviously be different for everyone else but just go through your bag and ask yourself if you can make the film without it
