Backcountry/Avalanche Safety Cult?

after watching that video of the person dropping and getting stuck in a bomb hole, i thought is there a Backcountry/Avalance Saftey cult.

is there one? if so, can i get an invite.

if there isnt, lets make a cult and post backcountry tips, equipment, conditions, how to's, proper ways to dig pits, how to find weak layers, etc...

could i get a link to the cult? cuz all the cults i see have 2 or 5 members, except one, which has 25...
 
no, he meant you cant learn what you need to learn from a cult. you need to take classes, and more importantly, get out in the BC with someone experienced, and learn from them.
 
oh ha. now i get it. it wouldnt hurt to hear everyones tips on stuff. you know what im talking about.?
 
i suppose. but 99% of the kids on this site should NOT be giving avvy advice, since most of them also think you are a wuss if you dont duck ropes.

go browse around on TGR, its a wealth of information.
 
Strict moderation could help that. It could be a good place to get info on avvy courses before you take them. Of course it would not be a substitute, but it could be an ok cult.
