Yo, I wanted to make one for next winter or use in the summer on rug. what did you guys use for the top of it that slides and how should i make it. Cost?

 
lexan is what most resorts use i hear,any plastic sheeting should work..just make sure ur skis will slide..and make sure its strong enough so u dont catch edges easy

but im not going to be and ass, u should use either blacktop pavement from a mix or like wood with nails sticking up from it, sometimes i like to use rubber

Alright dudes, i know this is getting old but..... if i build a box out of wood, do i just attach the lexan to the top and that will work or what, and how do i attatch it cause i need to build something NOW

 
use pvc pipes or metal pipes and put that counter top material called fermica in the middle of the box.. the pvc would prob be ok for a summer backyard setup, but i would used metal fuckin pipes myself

Deltron 3030 whoaaaa.... but would any hard plastic work for on top of the box, and is pvc really necessary cause im thinking if i spun on the box i might catch unless its really low and not higher than the plastic

 
think about it, get the shit to build it out of, build it, fuck it up, and fix it until it works. trial and error my friend.... T&E.....

personally, i would figure out how to build the top out of plywood, and inlay some lexan/plexiglass stuff into it. that would be real smoothe.

a few friends and i just built a box. we used just plain old acrylic sheeting for the top its like 1/4 inch thick. it works perfectly fine screwing it in wouldnt work because it cracked and i wouldnt recommend it...so we just bought some liquid nail and used that the box is holding up great and slides like a dream, hopefully that helps.

yeah build the actual box out of whatever but an alternate for the top is that particle board with the white laminate stuff on it it works great just seal it with sometinh to prevent water damag and wax it really good one time before using it

it alll worked for me

can you get an s.t.d. from a polar bear?
