Well I just got back and empire went off. The diggers dylan from CT, and wyille from montana were absolutely throwing down. From 9's, to switch 7's. There was 3 jumps, a 1/4 pipe, and about 8 rails from a tetor totter to a c rail. There was also a huge gap jump over these rocks, which they were going huge off it. Pros like tufflemire and mercon were there coaching the whole session and were cool as hell. Tanner, Pep, and rory silva also made an appreance and were throwing down for 2 days, real cool guys. If it wasn't for Empire, All stars ski camp would of sucked soooooo badly. They had one jump build where kids where breaking their faces off of it. Their rails were really sketchy to. Other then that everyone was throwing down, it was an awesome time. I will be posting alot of video within the next few weeks. Jordan (Phrosty) Also has alot of footage, so keep checking, and let me know if u have any questions about it

pretty solid summary man, empire is goin off right now, cant wait for the competition tomoorow. oh and try not to talk shit to allstar, they gave it there best, but we got hooked up with the better lane this year. it was great though seeing all there coaches hitting our tables and rails instead.

You guys can talk all the sh!t you want, but we've been up there for ten years pleasing our campers every session. We were cool and cooperative to you guys, and now you talk shit on some internet forum that's misleading and biased. Get some class.

Class? I have alot of class, I am just stating the facts. There were alot of really good riders from all stars who were throwing down indeed, but I am just saying that Mike, who was the director and the park maintainer of empires park worked his fucken ass off, and deserves to get the most credit out of anyone without a doubt in my mind. He made that park what it was, and if it wasn't for him, then there was no way in hell the park would of been what it was. Along with the empire diggers who were there everyday fixing the park up. I give alot of credit though to all stars for also being there with their lane, throwing down, and having the music and everything. Maybe next year all stars and empire should just join together, one big camp, and make that place absolutely rock out. Take the 'racer' lane, and expand the park. Is that classy enough?

secondly, with this misleading and biased 'internet' forum, if it wasn't for forums like this then camps like empire and all stars wouldn't be nearly as big as they are now, so these forums are opinions and facts of the campers who actually went to the camp, so if you don't like what you hear then take the negativity and change it into something possitive for next year, my 2 cents. Also, Dylan, keep me posted on how the comp goes...

Negativity? We have no negativity towards Empire. If you want to hype your camp on this forum, go for it. All the best. But chill out and leave us out of your marketing techniques. It's to damn obvious.

Again, leave us alone online and good luck next year. There's plenty of room for both of us up there.

 
its not his camp. he went to empire, saw both camps and told us what he thought. there is absolutely nothing wrong with that, hes helping anyone thinking of going to camp next year with their decision

exactly, im just saying or typing for that matter what I experienced and what I saw. No, I am not trying to market Empire, I am just telling everyone what my opinion was, what is the best bang for the buck, and straight out what went down, obviously you are getting offended by it. Like I said, empire and all stars should combine in one big camp, at one hotel, and turn that mother fucker out.... is that wrong, beartooths would be right up there with whistlers terrain if this happened, with more lanes, more rails more jumps, more pros, thats just by opinion? this is all im going to say, cause this is getting ridiculous and its not worth argueing over, cause skiing is all about unity and ripping it up, together

As for the combo camp, it's not my decision but it's probably not a good idea. I'd hate to see it as another Whistler, stripped down and sectioned off with 10 competing stereo systems without an inch to spare. We've been trying to offer something different than Whistler/Hood, not conglomerize it. That's why we don't stay in a hotel, we have Tanner and Plake who choose to coach for fun and not for money. It's the unique vibe of the Beartooths. It's laid back, and we have much respect for anyone who understands this. Then again, it's all about the mountain managament and what they want in the future.

 
i agree with split, empire is a ripoff, it costs like 1,100 for like 4 or 5 days of skiing while all stars is 900 for 6 days, empires focus is on jibbing while all stars focuses on jibbing, backcountry, and moguls

EVERYONE, all stars really sucks ive been there all the coaches are dicks, and teh jumps are all small and really shitty, the food their sucks along with the accomodations it was the worst way to spend money ever i wish the whole camp just got nuked. Empire is wayyyyyyyyyyy better dont even consider allstar

 
haha.... LMP you have no clue what the hell you are talkin about, did you go to the camp? No, I don't think you did, and buy the way, empire focused on jibbing, jumps, and back country, it was the type of enviroment where you could of taken tufflemire to the top of the glacier alone and he could teach you how to ski bumps. This has nothing to do with all stars, all stars was a different camp...

Relax. You're all missing the point. If someone is going to rip on something and be inaccurate about it, I'm going to call bullsh!t. Just because those guys hit Empire's jumps doesn't mean anything. The Empire guys hit our jumps, too. So what. It's pretty common for the pros to try different camp's jumps at Whistler, too. Our rails were just rails. I don't think a flat rail is sketchy. Most of the bottom rails were owned by the mountain, not us, or brought in by random people (the wooden ones). Are those the sketchy ones? And there were kids who were getting hurt, because they didn't clear the knoll. Not because the jumps sucked. People get hurt on any jump they don't clear the knoll. Tanner and Plake helped design our table, so if they liked it that's good enough for us. The Oakley crew showed up to the All-Stars Camp just to hang out. Pep, Micheal, Rory, etc. They weren't part of Empire and they really wern't part of the All-Stars although the stayed and skied with us. When they hit the Empire's jumps, because IT'S ALL OPEN TO THE PUBLIC (even our jumps) doesn't mean they were 'with' you guys. They came because Tanner said the All-Stars Camp was the place to be.

Mention one place I've ripped on Empire. If you like their camp better, then go there. Empire's a good camp for sure. But keep it straight. I tried to not make this involved, but I guess that didn't work.

i went to all stars, i'd have say it fits more apropriatly into the gay ass banging porno fuck camp catigory. Not much skiing goes on here, the day consists mostly of faggot play and things of an exteamly gay nature.....for instance last year we played this game call 'see who can blow the biggest load on splits face' amusing yes, but it can't compare to accualy skiing......you see all stars is just a front for an underground preist training camp, campers are merely geuiny pigs for the preists sexual satisfaction. trust me you want nothing to do with this corupted preist hood, unless your split and you go back every year for more ass ramming poop chute cramming good times... go to empire.

 
Man you crack me up. First off you just basically tried to market all stars camp. Whatever with the fucken jumps and rails and pros and whatever, everyone was hitting each others shit because it was one big park, which was the right thing to do. and you said tanner and all those dudes were at all stars cause it was the place to be, if thats not a marketing scheme I dunno what is, you mine as well should of taken an all stars quote from tanner and used it to boost the camp here on NS. And about your last comment with LMP, I think I have a little bit more insight and experience then he does, because I was there to see it all go down.

What this conversation really comes down to in the long run is that you are boosting all stars, while I am boosting up empire at the same time. Which is cool, because we were both involved with different camps. Both camps were different, and were all about progression. Do you want me to apologize to you, to what I posted to begin with? I won't because its what I saw and what I felt, overall if anyone is thinking about going to empire or all stars next year, you can't go wrong with either of them, because like it was this year, its all a bunch of people who just wanna ride and progress. I hope that it doesn't get turned into an empire vs. all stars war, where you can only hit your terrain on your certain park, cause that ain't skiing, and thats bullshit. In my opinion, I would like to see it turn into a whistler type of deal, because montana is a hell of a lot cheaper for me to fly to, and it gives local riders like that of wyoming, colorado a placer glacier to go to.

I never had a problem with you promoting Empire on this or any forum. I had a problem of you promoting Empire by putting down the other camp with untrue/misleading stuff. You're not paying attention. And yes, the stuff I said boosted the other camp. And I'm still saying Empire is a great camp. Either way, it sounds like we're both for both camps, we both have different opinions on the details, you came clean, I came clean, and...I think we're done? peace.

 
Yeah, I think we are done, we both got our points across. But, you still don't think that Empire and All stars should combined camps next year? I mean keep the 2 camps still different camps like location wise and shit, but im talking about the actual terrain. If the park crew from empire and the park crew from all stars got together in one big digging session, we could really turn that place out man, like it could be competiting with whistler if not better. But then again, I dont think it would happen, because there is still alot of race camps there who need the lane to the left for their camps. But, I think it would be so sick of both camps combined park wise, and had like an Empire/All stars competition, unity and progression at the same time

I think the racers could move where the lower mogul field was. They're not really an issue. The combo camp sounds good because of the limited space up there on the flats, and there's only one good lane for snow-depth. We'll see, either way next year will be bigger and better for both camps whether combined or not. Both those cats broke down repeatedly for days before Empire showed up, and hopefully they won't send a vintage Snowcat without a tiller next year either. Did you know it took us three years in the mid-90s just to convince the management to build us jumps with a cat? It's amazing how well this year went considering year's past. I'm psyched on this year, and I'm psyched for the future.

 
yeah man, Mike was telling me the cat was breaking down left and right, which can definitley but a damper on alot of things. Now that I think of it, its not my place to put you guys down, u guys did your thing and we did our own, so now that i think of it again i apologize for saying you guys would of sucked if it wasn't for Empire, but I just would like to see both camps come together in one, skiing wise, and just rock out the beartooths

ya i just got back from empire, the comp was awsome. there was so much good terrain. i was skiing with jessica baker and kina pickett. they were both completely good skiers. then the last day i was skiing, it started snowing, and we got powder. POWDER IN JUNE. it was insane

 
Empire was pretty good the one jump was bigger than all the jumps in Hoods public park and the rails were pretty fun. I got fucken roasted though and that kinda ruined my trip a little and the fact that I couldn't land shit in the comp. But for sure it was cool to be able to hit a jump without having to wait for 50 other people to drop in first.

 
i was at all stars session 2 and i think it would be great to combine the parks and possibly put in a pipe or something

From an unbiased perspective, i think that split is a little too sensitive. You made an issue out of something that shouldn't have been.

I think that making one big park but keeping the camps seperate would be the best. That way, no one gets chaunced on snow. Both camps would have to work together to setup park and then we can do our own thing.

I went to all stars for two weeks and it couldn't of been any better. Jibrevolution and anyone else who wasnt even there can suck on their nuts. whoever said that the coaches are dicks and the food isnt good is a retard. It was probably just that this person was a dumbass and no one liked him.

I agree with spilt, whatever camp you decide to go to, you are going to have so much fun. It's funny how cocky LINEBOARDER was at the beggining of this thread, and now he understands and feels like an ass.

Finally, my own personal opinion, I am now a dedicated allstars a.k.a all steez skier. I also know LMP and i know that he has a way sicker ski setup than any of you, probably because be bought them from Mickael D. for $50!

First off, In a nut shell that arguement was pretty fucken stupid and idiotic. Most of it was either high babble I was speaking, or the truth. But aside from the arguement, in the long run, skiing is skiing and i could really give a shit now who's camp was who's, and what was worth the most money in the long run. I came back from camp and was just hyped about the turnout from empire that I started to just go at it, and tell shit the way my first impression was. Now that I really think of it, I didn't attend all stars so I dont really know what it entails. and to you Concept kid, maybe I was being a cocky ass, maybe I wasn't, but when it really comes down to it, I don't really care. About the park, I agree with you that they should combine both parks, and at the end have an all stars vs. empire battle... that would be dope as hell, it all depends on what the pass management wanted to do

how about all stars have some class, you wouldn't even let a few empire diggers hit your jump in the early morning b4 any campers were on the mountain. There is one place all stars has empire beat though, moguls.
