Back Country Booters?

Hey, I have some friends flying in from out of town who want to film a bit. Just wondering if anyone knows of a good spot for a back country booter near Calgary/Banff? Ideally it would be somewhat accessible via a car, with minimal hiking involved to get to the site. Any info would be appreciated, thanks.

I havent tried this one but at sunshine when you come off standish and look forward to the right a bit you can see one. It looks like a really long hike thats why I didnt do it but apparently it only takes like 20 minutes to get to

Ya, I did hear about that one at the top of Standish. It looks killer. But why pay for a lift ticket to Sunshine and go hike one booter.

What/Where is Nose Hill Park?

i hit it, it looks like a hour away but took 5 minutes to get to

and 7 to get back.. and has a steep landing

i did that already last year and it isnt as good as it seems. all the landings are flat unless you find a big drop. we found a drop we were hittin until my friend hit a tree and then we left. not there are small trees everywhere there

sunshine is brobably ur best bet, unless u wanna go to kicking horse, there are some really nice spots there, and if u dont want to pay for a lift ticket at a resort u would probably have to get a snomobile to access the kinda terrain u are looking for

sunshine is dope...especially if you go fix up the booter/hip in the wawa bowl, you can hit that thing to like close to id say 70+ feet...hella fun and good snow there

can you give instructions on how to get to that?

take the wawa chair up...if you look straight out and up to the right there is a bowl you'll see and a ridge that goes all the way to it going from left to right...if you hike to that ridge and follow it all the way to the top you'll see the booter once you get around the cornice its built beside...it usually requires a bit of work on the inrun but the jumps hella solid...don't go alone cuz it sucks getting stuck with nobody around...getting out is the harder part...you gotta go down towards the valley sort of (the same exit for backdoor if you know it)

thats competely wrong. to go up standish first off and you look to your right and ski donw that face and kick up a bit

fortress if they have snow there are lots of good spots. and you can buil them in bounds if you want and never get caught.
