the new pow looks nice, however this thread is to someone with connections to the park at bachelor. So after talking to numerous other skiiers and snowboarders today about parks at bachelor, i have a few questions and would like someone to answer them.....

1. What is the point of the "mystery jib" on top of park, not a butter box, not a hip, not a step up, not a jump, just a waste of space where a fun feature could go.

2. The rail line is fun, however the 3,4 ft boxes while there fun, and seriously pointless. some nice long boxes would be fun, and maybe some new innovative boxes considering they make the rails at the mtn! also, we do have fun rails, the wall ride, flat down box, c boxes, rainbow rail... where are they!?

But i would have to say you guys are doing a great job with the jumps in my mind, there realll nice, and tons of fun.

however if someone could answer my questions it would be greatly appreciated by many....
 
the biggest downfall that bachelor has is their lack of creativity. also the fact that they have sick rails, but they choose to lean them against trees as opposed to setting them up..
 
i really have no hate i think you guys are being a little spoiled or some shit. So what the top two boxers are small what bout kids who are just learning rails. That rail line is sick and sounds like you need some cheese for that whine.
 
i dont think that we are whining, but that we realize bachelor isnt using everything their full or anywhere near full potential. all we see is room for imporvement, thats all

hahaha yess, hip, to smaller hip, to small jump, to mystery as they call it now.

also to add, nobodys saying rail line isnt fun or anything like that, bachelor is better this yr then i can ever remember, just me and a bunch of others are wondering why its not being used to its fullest. as brodeo said.... and estaked, u wouldnt happen to be the guy in the bright blue coat would you?
 
^ exactly which is why this bro is trying to get them to go their to the full potential.. and quit hatin, it makes you seem less cool, not the person you were hating on.
 
and in addition, bachelor needs to put a halfpipe in a spot that you can hit in the same run as the park as opposed to putting it where no one will go there because they cant do both.. im not sure if this makes sense, but bachelor has very few good pipe skiers, and i believe the reason is because no one gets th opportunity to practice..
 
at least we are trying to change things, i email them regularly with park suggestions. what do you do? sit there and tell yourself it will never change? cool

cameron you should send them an email... especially concerning the rails leaning against trees and the placement of our pipe.
 
yea, but more then just me need to do it, i think that bachelor could be a superrrr dope mtn, and this is one of the best park yrs i can remember, i think tho that we have the ability to make it even better, and i dont know who to the one to do that is. if someone knows the cat incharge? or freeride team voiced something, or the really good ppl bachelor has to do something
 
its hard to understand exactly what goes into building a park, even just to place one rail, it truly is amazing. i would keep emailing the management, but instead of suggesting new ideas that have never been done i would really stress what you have liked that is being done or has been done in the past they are far more likely to think about that an act on it. other than that keep shredding and just enjoy all that sweet pow we are getting!
 
See as a customer, I really don't care. That is not my problem in any way

see you guys obviously dont know mt bach management they really dont care, sure send some emails and blah blah at em. But #1 their park crew is horrible. #2 they are more into being a familly ski area. Now that bachelor isnt a locally owned it is run a about making money. So they really hate spending the money on cat time building more features when they could groom one more blue run. CREAM runs the world.
 
you are right, however powdercorp does own pc, which is probly best park out there, but i dont know that much about the park crew, or management, you probly no more about that.

But how about some of the super good skiiers at bachelor get on park crew, and thro there own ideas and making into it?
 
well se the park crew really dosent have much say in park design and powder corp migh think it is better to have bachelor marketed as a familly resort and park city to be geared for park. But i really think it is management making the park. It has been lots better this year but 4-5 years ago it was 10x better
 
im sure the park crew has some say. they need to have people designing that KNOW what they are doing, not the management of powdercorp
 
well not necesarily, because all park crew does at our mtn is rake stuff, which there not amazing at. haha but then all the lip, and jump building is done by cats. and management controls what the cats do. but i guess estaked is right about it being a family resort, because it seems they market all 4 of there mountains differently.
 
sry your wrong man, see like we are lucky they bulit that rail line. Ussally they just stick to the same set every year.
 
yeaa rail line was super fun this weekend, and last. i dont really care anymore about the 30 rails sitting next to trees. its kinda a bummer but o well.. what we have is fun, and snow is good
 
its true that groomers have literally no say in the park design and the cats are controlled by upper management. bottom line though is that it doesnt hurt to email them suggestions with constructuve criticism. they won't do anything if you send them an immature bitchy email. its worth a try, even if the rail line is fun. whats the harm in voicing some suggestions?
 
true, or someone should drive a u haul up there, take the manyy rails leaned against the trees by sunshine and make a killller intown setup
 
4 years ago bachy had one of the best parks out there.

it was really innovative then... anyonme remember the 2 mini halfpipes?

oh, and the one after the big one with the bow on top?

yeahhh, the good ol days.
