I will be at Bachelor 3/20 - 3/26 and was hoping to get some run recommendations for runs with fun stuff to jump off of and where I might find some sweet tree skiing. +K

I'm heading over there during that time too. you cant go wrong on outback and northwest express.

just be aware when flying through the trees out there... that crazy wind storm we had in january took out more than just a couple trees.

you definitely need to check out the new park cause it's been pretty epic this year.

yeah like he said^^^ don't get stuck in fallen tree debris! i've had to hike out of really sketchy areas twice now, but the snow should be way deeper now. so be careful of stumps and branches that might be RIGHT under the surface if its at all soft snow, i got sent to the hospital via ambulance because of that factor. hit a pile of rocks which looked like a powder lip to pop off of, next think i know im in the hospital with a contusion in my lower back an INCH from my spine. i got lucky.

be careful when skiing bachy, its not as cool as everyone thinks. lots of the time the conditions are more treterous than fun, but if you find the right areas on the right day, it will be worth it.

outback, and northwest terain is the best area for tree skiing, but if its the middle of spring break you might not wanna go in the trees anyways. annother thing you will notice about bachelor is how FLAT it is! the last half of EVERY run is trying to get speed for the lift.

haha when I was cat skiing at Bailey our guide told us this joke...

"what is the difference between the beginner and expert runs at bachelor?"

"the length"

What are these ridiculous unmitigated complaints about Mt. Bachelor being flat? You have no idea what you are talking about. I have never heard anyone say that before ever. Go speak your nonsense in some other regional forum!

hey man dont butt in we were talking here!

you dont need to be rude its an opinion. if you wanna start shit go get YOUR own thread

Hey Skirawker i think he was being sarcastic. Everyother thread about Bachelor gets hijacked into a thread complaining about how flat it is.

yeah someone give this kid a medal!

if every other thread gets "hijacked" like you say about the mountain being flat.....doesn't that mean something to you? hahaha....hello?

compared to alot of other mountains...IT IS FLAT!

i dont even seee why people that are really good skiiers like to vacation here. i cant wait to move away to get to bigger and better stuff.

Northwest and the west bowls are usually pretty good when it is even open but outback is my least favorite place to ski at mt b. First the actuall part of the runs with pitch are really short and you have to tuck to get to the lift, and also it skis well during and right after the storm but it gets skied out fast because it doesn't get windloaded like the rest of mountain on account of it being on the west side.
