As for names, just don't change the spelling of a normal name just to be 'unique'. That might be my biggest pet peeve with the current generation of parents. I mean if my parents had named me Jayceson instead of Jason, I would be pissed.

The only thing worse than a regular name spelt differently is the person with a regular name spelt normally but demands that it's pronounced differently
 
My buddy just had a kid a couple days ago. They named him Cobi. Decent name, terrible spelling. Just spell it like everyone knows it as....Kobe.

I suggested everyone's suggestions...even the declaration of independence. They got shot down. Why haven't any ladies chimed in on this? Don't all girls love this shit?
 
I'm pretty hooked on the boys name: Stanislaus... despite being years from having kids, but the wife is not digging it AT ALL

nope. but it makes me feel better that u got nothing. i have 4 months to go and all names suck. we like my grandfathers name but my inlaws decided thats what they wanted to name their dog so i guess thats out.

Shit is going down. We have been in the hospital since midnight. Everything is taking longer than expected with no real timeframe for it coming out. Still no name.

We ended up naming her Everly Eirwen (Eirwen is Welsh for "white snow" since we got over 2 feet of snow dumped on us that night).

That being said I am heading out to rip tomorrow since I am off work for the week.
 
i am trying to talk my wife into naming our kid Rex. only i would make that his middle name. his first name would start with T (Timothy/Tyler/Theodore/etc).

That way he could go through life as T. Rex. she might go for it lol

Haha. We ruled out Theodore after I posted that bc it was a shit Whoopi goldberg movie from the 90s. Anyway it's probably got an 0.0001% chance of happening.
 
jw do any of yall have a preference about having a boy or a girl?

honestly id be kind of pissed off is i had a son, for some reason i do not want to have a boy and i really like if i had a son and not a daughter id be really upset and id feel like id never want to raise the son

i dunno i just think that boys r usually assholes and are complete pieces of shit, and i just would not want to raise a boy
