We are open to the top now with 20 jibs.

The snow guns have been pumping out the white stuff on the superpipe.

We have also been blowing tons of snow since sat for the jump line in the lower night park. I'll start jump constructon 12/7 after my days off. The plan is to put up back to back channel gaps around 30 or so ft long. not to big but fun and ridable at night under the lights. In the meantime, hit up Alpine if you want to jump..Jonahs will be continually adding to the jump line over there. Everything just keeps getting better and better.

Funny Eric, I was just going to make a thread about this after checking the site out just now......looks like your park crew is kickin ass and getting stuff up quick. Cant wait to get there, what portion of the park is open at night, will it be all the biggest features?
 
For sure Alpine and Boreal are probably the best park in Tahoe right now. I've heard that N* is fairly jibassic right now too though.
 
Any one riding boreal fri-mon hit me up i'll be in the rental shop, I'll take a ski break.
 
nah its not even like that, im not about talking shit or being a punk or anything but if youre rude to me im not just ganna think its cool ....

right on...maybe he wasnt but he could have said something more along the lines of "how do you like your skis" and then maybe i wouldnt have taken it personally and thought it was rude

i believe the term stuck when i was sking to the auburn ski club house thing like 4 years ago, and i cut through the fucking 10-dollar-a-sled hill, and then i heard "kill whit-tey!" Then i realized that the fobsaucerers outnumbered the population of the 5 mile radius around boreal.
 
nah... but 80% of the team does and i think they got my back :)... but in all honestly the guys who do own guns go to the shooting range as a hobby... think about what you would do with yourself if you lived in mammoth in the summer
 
I went by tonight 12/7 at about 6 and they were working on the two new jumps, so maybe they will be open tomarrow? If also moght snow a little tonight, but dont expect much.
 
Skied tonight...yah like he said working on the jumps...MAYBE they'll be ready tomorrow but I'd say more like the next day.

hit it up again tonight..lots of fog. Most of the rain from last night turned into a bit of ice.

Looked like they are pointin the guns at the pipe tonight...thats sick. Jump maybe ready this weekend? hopefully..

Sick box line right now though...way fun.

From now on I'll be like how are those AR5's holding up Kim? You havn't had to apply any 5-minute epoxy to them have you?
 
B real was sick today... urban style down rail, c boxes, trap box, flat down box , up flat box, 2 rails that are out of the ground pretty tall/non ride on and then on another run a series of ride on flat boxes and rails that have perfect flow to them
 
oh man. i can't wait. o-chem test at 11.. im gonna bust through it as fast as i can so i can get up there and ride all night long. :)
 
Yeah the set-up is super sick for preseason. Looks like they got a nice 25-30ft step down ready for tommorow too. Props to the D-rew for absuluting slaying it tonight.
 
I was a bit optomistic about the dual channle gaps. The guns were pulled early over my days off so I didnt have the snow I had planned on.

Anyways, we got a solid 30ft step down with a bit of pop to it and all nice and wide. The guns are cranking up above and dual channels is still the plan for the lower night park..jst gonna take a bit longer.

The guns are also cranking up above the superditch and we are making good progress there.

as far as big stuff in the night park goes...I dont really see it happening until maybe in the spring. The conditions just get to icy and the night crowd we have right now would get killed on anything big...except ofcourse for everyone on NEWSCHOOLERS! So when we get more snow on the upper night park we'll expand with more tech jibs and a few more 30ish ft jumps. I just want to keep it to where we can maintain it as best as possible and have a fun night park for the most people as possible. It doesn't have to be gnar buckets to be fun.

haha, man you all are so spoiled.....it does get icy at night. We learn to jib it and take hits on 50 ft step downs here in the midwest on the ice.

How much of boreal is lit up at night?
