I'm sure at least a few of you are unfortunate enough to have had knee injuries out here. I've had bad experiences with crappy orthos in the past, so can someone recommend a good doc in the area? My LCL is fucked.

on a slightly related sidenote, I hear that WWU has a really sick Physical Therapy program. So if its not torn completely, or after surgery, I hear this is the place to go.
I have multiple bulging/slipping disks in my neck and spine, and my doctor recomended a bunch of places that worked with my insurance. I wish I could have done it on campus.

I don't go to western...can I still access this program as though I was going to a normal physical therapist? I imagine not, but you never know.

Actually I think its a no man. To get PT on campus you have to be an enrolled student and get a referral from Dr. Howe, the on-campus Orthopedic.

Dr. Thorpe at Pac Rim Ortho is pretty damn good Ortho, atleast for knees and shoulders. He's your best bet in B'ham.

When I tore my ACL and meniscus a year and a half ago I went to Dr. Hoekema in the Bellingham area to do all the prelim stuff, and he seemed pretty legit. I actually did the whole surgery thing down in Seattle with Dr. Hormel, who is confident enough in his work that he gives patients a copy of the video of your surgery. I'm actually about to have him put another ACL in on Wednesday since I was lucky enough to snap the fucker in half again on the qualmie yump line over break. Hope this helps, and good luck wif your beezknees guy.

Thorpe is good as is Dr. Gannon. Gannon repaired every member of Baker's Race Team whenever someone blew out their knee and is also a skier himself.

Yeah, I heard he is good.

Gannon did my knee, Tom Pulver's knee twice, Eva's knee before she moved, and several others.

Plus he also skis.

WRONG. on another note, i start PT tomorrow through WWU. i've heard they have a great program, and it's free for students, bitchin.
