Axis was full of good ideas, but when your parent company owns powder, and doesn't seem to put any money into Axis, you can't be surprised when it goes to the shitter.

I don't think powder is responsible for axis' end, they were both owned by primedia. You see powder is not an independent magazine, like freeskier, so they really don't give a fuck.

 
AXIS is basically Powder's pet project, though. And if this is actually true (what's your source, Phrosty?), then don't say 'FUCK POWDER' because it was Powder that started AXIS in the first place. If it is really gone, it will be missed. I had hopes for that magazine to provide something beside's FREEZE's dumb bling-bling for 13-year-olds and Freeskier's glossy 'Bradford Fayfield's party magazine.'

It was kind of short, the photos were good but check out transworld snowboarding and there is no comparison in quality and quantity of photos.

I was disapointed in Axis every time I picked up an issue.
