yeah metric is pretty awsome, but here are some of my favorites:

1. The Lovemakers (one of the best bands ever)

2. She Wants Revenge (sounds like interpol and joy division)

3. The Faint (it seems like no one on this site knows them)

4. The Gun Shys (reminds me of the strokes)

5. Andre Nickatina (hands down best rapper ever)

6. Maximo Park (indie pop)

7. Kings Of Leon (the strokes meet leonard skinard)

8. Hard-fi (english as fuck)

9. RJD2 (perfect music to ski to)

10. Death From Above 1979 (loud and up beat)

gret response guys and gal! so many bands listed are freaking awsome, and so many i've never heard of... wow skiers listen to good music! thanks everyone... don't stop.

also...

- Ugly Casanova

check it.

You must be from the Bay Area if you have the Lovemakers and Nickatina on your list, you should check out SF underground mainstay, Swell.

41 is the most accessible album.

Swell and Well are very dark and have an ominous feel.

Too Many Days Without Thinking was supposed to be their big break, but Rick Rubin screwed them.

For All The Beautiful People is a bitter album, that is great.

Everybody Wants to Know is more electronic based

Whenever You're Ready is their newest, and longest album, it is like a greatest hits with all new songs.

the squares. i have no idea how you can get their music though. If you have ever seen the wakeboard video Boombox all of the instramental guitar music on there is the squares.
