Awesome Anthony Boronowski Interview

Fantastic move for Ant, I'm really excited to see what Surface/Joystick collabos yield.
This is a company to really watch out for over the next few seasons.
Random thought:
I wonder if the general NS population is really familiar with Ant. Us older guys know that he used to slaaaay urban shit, whereas the majority of his recent film segments are essentially purely pow and bc shots. He's another one of those guys that really grew up in, and WITH, freeskiing.
I'm glad that someone like Ant has had some success as an entrepreneur in this fickle and tiny industry and I think he makes a fine example as a potential embassador to those not familiar with "newschool" skiing.

I dunno what you consider older or younger, but being 20 years old I know and acknowledge what anthony has done with his career and have always seen him as one of those "role model" skiers, who was always doing shit I was into and down with. he definitely slays everything.

stoked to see what ant and surface come up with. Always been one of my favourite skiers. Even more of a reason for me to purchase surface skis and support a dope company

I'm glad to hear it...he's played a big role in shaping our sport—both on and off of his skis.

You can all leave comments in the thread...I will make sure Dunfee sees them when he gets out of the water. Right now the swells are going off and he is in the ocean taking advantage of the waves. But when he gets back in an hour, I'll make sure to let him know how much we love him and BroBomb for setting this interview up!

Surface is sick, I was thinking about getting the Nine Life, but I'm in between their lengths.

I remember reading about him in Plake's Picks while he was still skiing for K2 and just after he knocked his teeth out hitting urban rails. His X=ten segment is still one of my favorite parts in any ski movie yet. Stoked to see him on Surface and excited to see what they will come up with!

jeaaaa. i'm only 17 so i missed most of his stuff before he was just into the pow, but he's still one of my favorite skiers. go surface!

Precisely.
He was murdering sketchy ass urbans waaaay back when.
And to the above, I'm also excited to see his segment/shots from this year's Nimbus project. They continue to add quality riders with distinctive styles. I think Nimbus probably has the strongest "identity" in the ski movie biz right now...let's just hope they spend less time talking about skiing this go around.

Sorry but I found that interview far from awesome. He came of as being quite curt and just not enthused overall.

Nimbus has so much potential especially now with ANT! So excited to see what they put together. Just imagine Hunting Yeti and Hot Lunch fused together as one movie, without the forced narratives and talking about style; it would be amazing!

I can't agree more. I'm excited to see what they have in store. Also, maybe there's still time to get ANT in Walks of Life (if it ever comes into fruition).

Side note: Love the blog.

While we're on the topic....who would you like to see interviews with? The game is getting big enough that there's all these subsets of dudes we never hear from. Who do you feel would make an interesting interviewee?

Stu Halverson, phil casabon, Laurent favre. I want to see interviews involviing people that actually seem to have an asthetic vision with their skiing, I'm so tired of hearing from all these jock 18 year old kids that have spent the last 2 years trying to match tom wallisch's trick bag. Theres no direction to that.

I'd also like to see more questions regarding peoples actual skiing, terrain choice, trick selection that sort of thing, You know, food for thought, not some "athletes" travel schedule.

Now that I think about it Ant is for sure one of my favorite riders. I remember watching him slide that rainbow swing set back in the day and thinking it was the coolest thing I'd ever seen. and that segment with the that Bright Eyes song is one of my favorites to date.

*for the record i feel like a n00b right now because I cant remember which movies those are from

Haha, so you're not interested in how they're gonna take their tricks to the backcountry and do lots of filming this year? When a skier gets an agent, he gets a script that has all those stock answers.

Stu seems like a dude who might have something to say...if his mind is half as interesting as his skiing that is. Anybody working with contact info for him?
