Saw him live a couple days ago, did a private party for my school, he played for 2 and a half hours with the biggest smile on his face and just amazing energy, so sick
 
saw him at governors island for his 3 hour set. he is probably my favourite artist as of now, and has been for a long time.

allegedly Tim sent a sample of the track to Lewis before it was released, she loved it, used literally the EXACT track and recorded her voice over it...giving Avicii/Berg zero credit on the track. of course that pissed him off and he sued.

they just recently settled for an unannounced amount of money outside of court and Berg is now given partial credit in the production of the track.
 
I saw KASKADE two weeks ago and he played that song levels. this whole time i thought it was his im confused

skrillex brought a whole bunch of asshole bros into the dubstep scene and avicii is going to do the same thing to the house scene.
 
oh and six months from now all the "original" Avicii fans will hate whatever tracks he's producing because he'll have gone "mainstream", even though his sound hasn't changed since day one...just like skrillex.

whatever stupid point you're trying to make is completely irrelevant and wrong. Avicii is a the tipping point of "blowing up" if not already there, that in turn will make the hipsters and pretentious people in the EDM community hate him and call him a sellout. just like tiesto, kaskade, SHM, ect.

skrillex didn't get fucking popular because he was the lead singer from FF2L, he got popular because everyone and their grandma posted Scary Monsters from youtube on their facebook walls.

i'm a die hard avicii fan (along with most other "mainstream" house artists) and will be regardless of who listens to him. fortunately house music will never become like whomp scene in the sense that i won't get shoved and knocked around by e'ed up frat guys like every dub set i've heard for the past six months.

Why is everyone saying Avicii is underground and not yet mainstream?

That guy along with the Swedish House Mafia and many others have been going HUGE for more than 3 4 years now.. At least in Europe.

I mean for every 1 hip hop/RnB club, there are at least 10 electro/house clubs around.
