Average DIN setting on NS

6'1" 180 8.5

Solid type B skier.

But the real answer is 1/2 turn past the last time I walked out of them.

Why do you hate freedom?

Just womdering. How is the sole lenght related to what DIN you should run?

Leverage. The longer the boot is, the more it resists sideways and for/aft leverage from the ski so you can use less clamping force from the bindings

Ah damn. Never thought of that actually. So with a smaller mm size. You then would need a higher DIN

10 seems solid for me (6ft 150), should probably get them tested once I fix my broken binding tho, my previous local shop wouldn't touch them when I asked since they were cast which was annoying af

The ski shop I work at cannot touch cast bindings because since they changed Afew things with pivots the bindings are no longer backed up by look liability wise, putting cast in charge of liabilities. And rn cast isn’t trusted yet because they’re a newer company

This is a dumb thread because the largest factors are height, weight, selected skill level, and bsl. They each can modify it about 1-1.5pts up or down. This isn't something to compare between people since we all have different combinations of those factors. Anything extra is simply fine tuning or people unnecessarily cranking their bindings cuz the forward pressure is too low. The correct din for you is one that releases when you need it to and doesn't release when you don't want it to.

But anyway mine is 8.

idk man if i paid to have 17 din you bet i’m using all 17 of those mfers

Bro you brought it from 5.5 to 10 why?

to do nollie frontflips, big nose butters, and attempting griselda flips. they still release sometimes on big nollie frontflips if i time wrong. i know its not good but i like to he confident they arent coming off.
