Avatar: The Last Airbender

i went and saw it today with two other nsers( no homo) and they will back me up in saying this movie was shit and not worth the six dollars paid to watch it
 
the acting was rough the effects could have been better and the story was a little stale they could have done so many things so much better
 
acting was awful, the story was mediocre, and if the acting was better the story woulda been better, and the special effects drew you away from the movie, and you were like, wow, that was lame effects.
 
i dont know what to believe on NS sometimes. i had people tell me avatar sucked but that movie is fucking amazing. guess i will just have to find out myself

 
note: we're talking about The Last Airbender.

the other avatar movie was really awesome. The Last Airbender is the one that was not good.
 
I could tell it was gonna suck just by their advertising scheme.

The last airbender: 3/10.
Acting was horrendous, story was boring, characters were shallow (though I thought the cgi was good). Overall disappointing, except through a weird chain of events I ended up with free popcorn/drink and a coupon for another free movie ticket, so i'm not too upset

 
my 2 cents:

the whole time they rushed the movie. none of the good stuff from the cartoons was shown. i was okay with this the entire time thinking "oh theyre rushing because they need to cover everything" i was wrong. they took way too long on the battle scenes and not enough time on other things (visiting the easter air temple). They barely covered the first book in an hour and 43 minutes, and ended at a terrible time with the biggest dissapointment of an ominous ending. not only was the acting terrible, but they also pronounced everything wrong.(aang like ong, avatar like ovotar) im ashamed of that movie being an avatar fan.

but im still seeing the sequals.
 
i watched like 1 episode liek 3 years ago and i thought it was crap then... if its crap when im 12 its crap when im 15
 
Went to the midnight premier. super super shitty:
*Names were all pronounced wrong.*None of the personalities were right. Aang wasn't playful, Sokka didn't make any dumb jokes, Iroh only talked about tea once, and he wasn't fat at all.*No air scooter*Zoku looked like an emo kid.*No gliders at the northern air temple.
Pretty much the only thing he got right was Appa.
Did he even watch the series? Really???
 
when i worked at nicktoons a few years ago i got put on Avatar stuff right off the bat. Made a few commercials for it, which requires a ton of scrubbing through episodes to check for good scenes to use and actually enjoyed the show.
But yea, heard it sucks balls so def not wasting my money. I cant believe M.Knight still gets paid to make movies. i hope he fucking drowns with that stupid woman in the water.

i finished watching the whole cartoon yesterday then went to see it and it SUCKED.
saka and aang had no personality and kitarra wan't even concerned, ever.
also appa(sp?) was dirty the whole time, he is clean except when he is stranded.

I knew this wasn't going to be a good movie straight from the commercial. None of the characters seemed the same, I'[m sure they had to skip a lot of stuff, and I heard them say the name wrong once. Glad I didn't go see it.
 
i got high as fuck for this movie, and it was still a HUGE dissapointment. the 3d and special effects didn't at all make up for the horrible, horrible job the director did of making a movie out of the show. the dialog was the absolute worst. there were even a couple of times the whole theater burst out laughing cause some of the lines were just so fucking horrible. they tried to make everything super serious, whereas the show is fairly lighthearted. all in all, the biggest waste of 14 dollars ever
 
Yeah, I probably won't see any of his films anymore. I've been dissappointed with his stuff the last few times I watched them.
 
I say Signs and the CONCEPT behind Unbreakable was pretty sick. Outside of that... I would rather watch a Uwe Boll movie. At least I get a laugh out of the suck (and in the case of Bloodrayne semi hot vampire chick in leather killing bitches)
 
is there gonna be a sequel cuz they def left us hanging..like it would be good if they didnt just stop it short..
 
acting was horseshit and they pronounced avatar and aang wrong. It sounded like "ah" instead of the actual pronciantion. I fucking want to destroy this movie.
 
signs was pretty good. but avatar. ugh kill me. and theres no way in hell there making another one.
