so i searchbarred about these and didnt get anything

http://www.avalonseven.com/AVALON7SHOP.html

(the white or black one i want) http://avalon7.bigcartel.com/product/new-avalon7-cascade-mesh-bandaril

i want a high quality bandana, something that doesnt freeze up, get really wet, and is really warm etc. and avalon7 is talking about this mesh material? how high quality is it and how much better is it than cotton, and should i just look in to getting a fleece lined instead? i dont like neck gators/ balaclavas in general, although i know a lot of you will still say to get one of those...but try to keep it to yourself. any info on this or bandanas in general is very helpful. thanks.

Those look sick... I found one in the Backcountry that had velcro on the back for the closure and fleeced lined but it was pink and I gave it to a girl who would wear it. I've been looking for a similar one since. EC headwear has something called the shelter that might work.

i got a neff bandana in mesh and it works much better than fleece or cotton ones....no more frostbit on your face... i can rock mine all day !

Avalon 7 is so legit, i met Rob the owner at camp

and camp of champions sells the limited AV7/camp ones.

they breathe well and dont get all soaked and wet when you are breathing
heavy. they seem very good quality and fairly warm.

i have fleece lined ones and on a cold day in the park, thye get all wet
with condensation and then freeze up. ughhh. i really do need an avalon 7 one

There is a conmpany out of Bozeman, MT called Phar North that makes the sickest bamboo bandanas that are warm, wicking, breathable and pretty cheap ($13.99). I would campare them to Jibberish or Neff.

I have rocked the avalon bandanas for two years and they get mad stiff if it freezes.

Phar is about to drop around thanksgiving...I got a proto type from a friend and the thing is king!!! Wore it last week in a blizzard and was a perfect all day.

email them at info@pharnorth.com about getting one of the first designs. They are 100% USA made and use all the sustainable practices possible.

I use an Oakley bandana...its made of 98% polyester and 2% lycra. Very smooth, slightly stretchy, and very breathable. Its all polyester so it doesnt soak up water at all like anything cotton would. It works great for normal or even spring days. I've used it on a couple super cold days too and its been alright, but something thicker might be preferred. The only negative about these oakley ones is they are a real beotch to find. :/

those are sick, but I have seen like two ever.

The Phar Bamdana (thats what they are called) is a thicker and warmer material than the poly cotton blends.

Hey evitic$! Thanks for rocking AV7! Which AV7 bandana have you been wearing? The big cotton one or the older mesh?

Honestly, it is impossible to make something that you breathe into constantly not freeze up a if it is cold enough outside. The new AV7 Bandarils are soft polyester mesh, so they don't absorb water like cotton (or bamboo), and let most of your respiration out through the mesh instead of fogging your goggles. I designed 'em to work in here in Jackson Hole, one of the coldest places in the country. The outside will freeze when it is super cold, but the inside stays nice and soft and warm.

Bamboo bandanas and tshirts are in the works for AVALON7 as well , but from a technologically advanced standpoint, the Bandaril is still king in my opinion. Phar North sounds dope tho- props for doing their own thing! - Kinger

Word Ticcy...Thanks for the Shout AV7.

Your bandarails are dope for sure. Man, if we could find a American made supplier of a more poly blended bamboo fabric we would be stoked. But we are 100% American supplied and made, so thats puts the majority of the exciting blends out the door.

Our BamDanas actually tend to be pretty rugged in terms of water retention and warmth. We tested the fabrics available all last winter and concluded that this stretch bamboo was it. Its the printing that causes us the hard shell headache.

I have the Avalon 7 bandanna that you are talking about and they are really great much better than the traditional banana. I would highly recommend getting one plus rob(the owner) is a really nice guy.

They don'tey sell them in the UK :(, well, I can't find them anyway. I need a decent bandana for when I go Tignes this year. :/

There is a big difference between a cotton bandana with some fleece sewn on it and a quick drying, poly mesh AV7 bandaril designed to go on your face when you ride. No comparison really. The cotton and fleece get all wet and nasty and freeze up immediately so they become totally useless. The Bandaril lets your respiration pass through it, which means you won't fog your goggles with it on, is made out of soft poly, so it doesn't absorb water like cotton, and looks super dope with our limited edition art on it. Nuff said. RK

i have a line bandanna with the lining it it worked alright but its more convient to just wear a baclava and put a bandanna over it

you checked out the Under Armpour cold gear hood? that thing is the bomb balaclava set up. Just don't get the white one, mine looks grey and green now. Too much herb exhaust I guess...
