Avalanche safety safety online.

I haver been trying to find some good online videos to watch about avalanche safety. If any one knows of any good ones I would greatly appreciate a link or two. I live in italy so tryign to find an actual course has been hard due to the fact i dont speak italian.

It would also appear that you do not speak English.

BCA used to have some decent videos on their website (mini DVD that came with Trackers). Maybe Black Diamond too. Yeah they're just videos, and mostly focused on rescue not awareness, but they're a start.

Watch some videos, then read a book (Free Skiing by Jimmy Oden and/or Bruce Tremper's new one which sounds an easier read than the old one), but still look for a course and/or experienced partners to learn from.

If you're within driving distance to Chamonix, book a course with www.avalancheacademy.com or www.avalanchegeeks.com - I know both guides and both run their courses very well, both English-speakers. They'll effectively give you a bit of guiding during the course so take a few days skiing afterwards with that knowledge.

Yeah I'm taking an avalanche safety safety course so I can safely take an avalanche safety course, I heard they're quite unsafe.
