Auto or stick?

I love stick, its a lot of fun but if you are driving in a city, automatic is probably better. If you are worried about gas you should get a hybrid. Have fun car shopping!

well, my jeep only came in automatic, so I had no choice. I wish I knew how to drive stick though.

 
Stick also reduces braking by like 30%.

Also replacing parts for a clutch are cheaper than for auto tranny down the road.

i love stick and think Im quite good at driving one but Im getting a hella good deal from my dads best friend on a car. The only downside is its auto, but Im not turning down a rust free, low mileage 1983 datsun 280zx for 250 bucks canadian. people can call me pansies but I will have a sweet ride for cheap.

yeah my dads car is a manual and hes driven it 50000 kilometers and hes only worn the pads down by 3 mm lots of engine braking. but he does drive it mostly on the high way

First of all u can switch gears without the clutch u just have to have the right rpm's. On the gas thing if u keep downshifting all the time ur gonna end up burning the same gas as auto. Ul only save gas if u drive on 5th gear everywhere. The price ul save some money of the start for sure.

But get the standard car, makes driving a hell lot more enjoyable.

 
yeah for any1 thats gonna take a drivers test do stick cause then u can drive any car otherwise u get a liscence that says auto only n it makes u look like a dumbass, n stick is fun but not hard afta i while ive heard

It is much more fun and challenging with a sick to drive, talk on the phone, eat, and beat the kid in the back seat all at the same time. lol

hahahahaha, remember when I let Jenika drive my car? Of course she couldn't drive worth shit and the first major intersection she got to she choked and stalled the car at least 6-8 times. She managed to get half way across the intersection before the light turned to caution at which point I put the car in neutral and let it roll out of the intersection. Dammit, that was embarassing.
