Australian season predictions

Late as to buy a pass, I bought my Buller season pass in october last year and after 7 days of skiing it pays itself off. Defs worth buying them as early as possible.

I know I am a bit late to buy the pass this season but i didn't have any money at the end of last season, but i agree with you that they usually pay for themselves in a few days if you get them at the end of the previous season.

Yeah, didn't mean to dig into you. Just something handy to know if you didn't already. where are you skiing this season?

nah thats all right man, I am probably going to buy a thredbo pass as if i sleep in my car they have showers and i know someone with a house up there

Anything will be better than last year. Its been pretty cold down there lately which is good. Already been Snowmaking. Anyone going to Perisher for opening?

Last year was a shocker, arrived at Buller and Falls on separate occasions and there was no snow (mid season), But after a day or two they was an alright dump and we got a few more lifts open. Hopefully we have good snow this year.

Pretty nervous to be honest, got my holidays booked up at the snow and there's a chance there won't be any.

you shouldve played it safe and booked NZ. it is such a gamble these days

What's this price difference between skiing in Australia and buying tickets to go ski in NZ? friend and I had an argument today about the topic. He said it was cheaper to fly and ski than to drive to a mountain in Australia and ski for the some amount of time.

i have never priced it up completely, but im fairly sure it would be around the same cost, maybe a little bit on either side depending how you book it. but for the same cost, considering the skiing in new zealand, its a no brainer really.

just heard on ABC news from a member of the bureau of meteorology that the weather at the months prior to the ski season will have no effect on the snow conditions. Not sure how reliable this source is though.

considering it has been an extremely warm autumn i think that would have some effect on a slow start to winter
