Australian broadcasters don't even bother airing slopestyle qualifications

Ten, has decided in their wisdom that they wont be airing the snowboard slopestyle qualifications in favour of airing old episodes of Get Smart. They also are not providing a live stream citing "technical difficulties" when they have clearly just not bothered.

So disappointing to not be able to see this new event after they have claimed about how good their coverage will be in the last couple of weeks.

yeah it was frustrating.

i used www.hula.org as a proxy and then went on the CBC (canadian coverage). they had good commentators which were sick. i watch mens heat 1 run 1 and 2, but then feel asleep. just woke up now and ten seems to be airing it on the net now. seems to be some english commentator so im not really sure what the go is. im gonna see how he commentates and then make a decision if i should go back to CBC

CBC definitely have a nicer interface with a 4 or 5 different tabs with live info etc. ten seems to only have a web played

yep go with CBC, they were calling all the tricks and discussing the technical side of each run.

tens commentator just said "yep that was a good grab, yeah she had good grabs the whole run".....

Yeah Craig McMorris commentating on CBC! Solid info, doing a great job explaining the technical side of snowboarding. Just explained a stalefish grab pretty well

Ended up hitting up CBC too, just kept buffering which was really frustrating. By far the best commentary though, dreading the shit that will come from the Aussie commentators

some girl did a straight method then two 180 methods on the final two and the commentator was like "yeah she had some really solid grabs, holding them for a long time, she'd be really happy with that"

have google chrome get the Hola better internet extension and set your IP to the Uinited Kingdom and it will let you watch it all on BBC iplayer as they have it live and they also have it online to rewatch free,

Was watching thi highlights on ten on tv. They had different cuts and the commentary on that was some young Aussie dude and another guy. They were doing a really good job discussing the tricks and shit and not being gapers. Don't know why the web had a different commentator. Hopefully once they start broadcasting they go with these guys as they were great, very similar to cbc's mcmorris. Seems irrelevant but the commentary, even just calling tricks makes such a huge difference and makes it so much more interesting
