Austin City Limits

Amazing show! I saw Coldplay then Explosions in the Sky on tv, IN A ROW.

but really, I dig the show.
 
oh. They don't play music in Alaska, except for country and rap. But does that really even count?
 
Austin City Limits is a great thing for music

I didn't even check up on the line up this year... you see anybody good? any bands I might not have heard of that blew the roof off?
 
i don't know what you've heard of but of the lessor known bands I was really impressed with MGMT. They put on an awesome show and have made me officially like the retro synth-rock revival we've got going on now. Their song "time to pretend" was in a snowboard trailer i think, i've heard it somewhere. But I'm pretty much obsessed with this song now:

CSS was also a weird pretty cool performance. They are known for having one of their songs as an ipod commercial.

And a local Austin band called Electric Touch also impressed me a bunch.

And as usual The Black Keys just rocked shit.
