Audi A8, Mercedes S Class, or BMW 7 Series?

Just curious as to what you guys like the most. My vote goes BMW 7 series, although I know a ton of people with S classes, and those are sick cars. I also really like Audi.

Fuck man what do you do for a living? And to answer your question...7 series all the way I drive them at work and there prime

To be honest, I have no clue what ANY of these cars are. I am not a car person and really never have been.

same here.. i mean I have some idea but i dont know exactly what they are. Anyway, id go with the beamer.

Haha well, I've been getting into cars lately. And I saw that thread, and stillakilla's new Benz, so I figured I'd make a thread while it was fresh on my mind. I also stopped by an Audi dealership today and picked up a few little book things about the A6 and the A8, even though I can't drive yet, I love cars.
But the more and more I look at it, the more and more I fall in love with the 7 Series.

Clearly it isn't the BMW cause cops in europe drive the 7 series...so that kinda like driving a ford crown victoria here, boring!!!!The S Class is sick, and i would love to drive one, but since we are skiers we should love the A8. Put winter tires on an A8 and it will rape snow covered roads plus in summer is is a sick car too. Can't beat a car that kicks ass in all 4 seasons. But if we lived in florida where it doesn't snow I would say the S Class.

I've always loved the A8 but the new 7-series are not-bad looking and have the sickest technology. Real tough call, would probably have to go with the Audi, the A8 interior is so gorgeous.

Yep. I have two uncles with S Classes, and my grandma has one. They handle snow really well, although I heard Audis' handle better, but I can't say for sure. The S Classes are really nice cars, but I think that the 7 Series you get the most for your money.

E38 all the way. Nothing beats that bodyshape. The early 750s were an abomination the new ones are decent. Overall though im a big fan of any German car lol.

No, before 05 they just had the 1.8T engine that was the old GTI and Passat engine. I'm not sure what the A4 frame is though, I know the A5 frame is the GTI frame, but I'm not sure about the A4. Its probably based on the jetta but I've never really thought about it before.

Although, the Jetta GLI comes with the same engine as the Passat and GTI, so I guess you could say the A4 is based on the Jetta GLI.

Audi's do handle better but the suspension is overly stiff and they are uncomfortable on the freeway and bad roads.

All the new BMW's are so hideous except the M series Z4, why the fuck would they fire the man who created the 90's BMW look, basically the best looking sedans ever, and hire some hack to bulge everything out, give them all botched nose jobs, and put fairly lights under the headlights?

The S Class has more toys I believe as well.

But the real question is, which ones come in manual? I reckon the 7 series doesn't. Just a guess though. The Audi will probably and I'm not sure about the Merc.

Um care to tell me which police force drives around in 100 000 dollar cars and that argument is dumb anyhow. Cops in Germany drive Porsches so they are lame cars as well then...........

i drive a 2004 A4 1.8t, and my next door neighbor just got a new jetta. My A4 is sooo much nicer, im positive its not based off the jetta. its definitely the passat

Well the A5 is based off a Golf and its a hell of a lot nicer than that. The A4 has the engine out of a Passat, and might be based on its frame, but its more likely on the Jetta's frame with the Passat engine. I only say that because like the Jetta, the A4 is a fairly small, sporty 4 door sedan. The Passat is bigger and heavier, drives more like a Lexus.

s5.

my buddys brother has one and it has to be the most awesome thing ive ever seen

quote from wikipedia (jetta's chassis name is A4, but the audi a4 is not based on the same chassis)

A4 platform cars (Typ numbers in brackets):

Audi A3 Mk1 (8L)

Audi TT Mk1 (8N)

VW Golf Mk4/VW R32 (1J)

VW Bora/Jetta IV (1J)

VW Lavida

VW New Beetle (1C/1Y/9C)

SEAT León Mk1 (1M)

SEAT Toledo Mk2 (1M)

Å koda Octavia Mk1 (1U)

not directed at you, just directed at the conversation

Definitely a sick car, but I was comparing sedans. And I wouldn't really consider that much of a sedan, considering the back seat is pretty non-existant.

i think you mean the A3 is based on the golf.

I pretty sure the VW phaton is equal to the A8 (price wise atleast?)

then the CC is like the A6

then the passat is like the A4
