Atv tow in jumps

I am stoked for this winter and i was thinkin about buildin a kick ass backyard setup, better than i ever did before.....my dad has a tractor which he lets me use to clear the driveway when it snows, so snow is definitly not a problem.....i was thinkin about makin a 30-35 footer with an atv tow in, now i know its goona be hard to explain but i will try to get some pics up once winter comes but if you have ever built a jump with a tow in is there any tips to buildin it/ how much speed would i need for it,

If you have a tractor, set up a dirt base now. That'll make the snow issue a lot less pressing. I'd make two or three takeoffs for the same landing out of dirt so you have some variability in your setup. Shit, do a table transfer, two tables of different lengths would give you variable airtime, and the ATV could drive down the center channel!

yea, we built a jump over a shed in down town neihart a town thats 10 miles away from our hill, it was sick, we had a bon fire 5 feet away and we would get towed in by a snowmobile through the middle of town.

35 feet would be hard. Judging speed from tow ins is so hard. We did this show is Saskatoon and Jeff went first on like 45 foot double and he over rotated a front flip nose grab all the way to the icy grass and knocked himself out cold for like 2 minutes./ It was bad stuff. I would recommend building a steeper hip style jump and u can use the landing for a drop n

i used to use a dirtbike tow in back in the day. It wasent that effective but it was kinda fun. Then i made a 20 foot drop in tower out of scafolding. That wasent really effective either but it was just fun to drop in.

i would imagine the speed to be really really hard to judge for jumps. i would make some sick jibs, like a tree or picnic table jib on top of a mound of snow. like ride up the mound, bonk the table and pop off. make a wall. im just thinking out loud. do what you want though.

if you want to judge speed accurately get a radar gun for at the slopes, clock yourself on jumps, then build one of similar size and tell your buddy to drive at that speed,

that would be epic, problem is my parents wouldnt let me put that much dirt in my backyard, but i will have plenty of snow, because our driveway is like 500 feet long so i will just take the snow with the tractor and go from there....if we get dumped on enough i will have to try this
