I really think Boreal or Alpine could benefit from one of these. Wouldn't be original, but damn it would be fun.

Been wanting to build one of those for about 7 years...

only thing holding me back is the nearly $3000 in plastic it would require. $3000 buys alot of steel that doesn't need to be replaced every one to two years as plastic does.

Don't worry though...bunch of good things in line for this winter at Boreal. We are putting a s#$t ton of cash into new night lights(triple the amount in the night park), park sound system, park dirt work, park snow making, new jibs and a new park snowcat. Our owner dropped an eye popping sum of money on us for the park this summer!

snowmaking upgrades for park $70k

dirt work $25k

lights/stereo $40k

jibs $10k

new parkcat $220k

We are working on the snowmaking and lights right now. Not much to look at but I'll snap/post a few photos when we get to the more exciting stuff.

Maybe not owning Alpine any more has something to do with that! LOL Sounds sick though eric, looking forward to another great season.

Doubt that has much to do with it. I've always had the support from management and the owner. These improvements were part of the long term plan(Rome wasn't built in a day). If anything, our success last year in such a poor snow year continued to instill confidence in our plan to develope the all mtn park and some of these improvements were bumped up the priority list as a result.

Yeah, that is a sweet feature. Not sure if we'll have the cash for it this year but it's on the list.

that feature looks fun.

thinking about skiing in the summer is pure torture.

anyone taking summer school right now. i need someone to study with... im taking the MCATS in a couple weeks and need some motivating friends!

luke are you in school?!

any advice on how to not think about skiing 24/7??!?

No, I'm not in school. I am so happy! I will be on the 28th just like you though.

Don't talk to me about not thinking about skiing. Its all I do all day it work. I have too...

Don't waste your money making one of those, they look way cooler than they are. Someone needs to step up and make a Mammoth sized wallride in Tahoe. If someone gets a 15-20' wall that open to the public and set up well, I will go to Tahoe more.

yes and a long up rail similar to what B real had at the end of the season with the big drop, only have the rail 3-4 feet off the ground so tricky tricks can be thrown with out being deathly afraid of catch your skis on the snow.

^call me crazy but yeah, if you're trying to bring the skimack rail back, one that has less chance of paralization/ head trauma/exploded testicles would be pretty sweet, call it the "skimack is still bitching at me so try this on for size damnit rail."

the official "SKIMACK RAIL" was pretty tame for what is was...

now the gnarbucket Skimack rail the guys put up the last week of the season when I took Hames and Colby to work at Superpark...that one was another story.....

your description is quite fitting of the pictures I saw when I got home. I can guarantee we wont build anything like that again.

but the original "skimack rail" will return this year including it's name.
