DID I SAY YYYOOOUUU (a Newschooler) WERE THE CULPRIT? No, I didn't. Most of you kids on here are quite respectable when it comes to skiing in busy areas. BUT a lot of park skiers/boarders CAN'T ski for shit. (Mostly boarders. Sorry, but it's true. Heel sliding and toe sliding isn't boarding. It's just scraping the snow away, and we need that snow since the weather isn't cooperating.) If you can physically ski Go Devil to go down to Mountain House please do so. When GD opens of course. I'm just saying that we have ENOUGH fucking people on Schoolmarm already. I'm fucking tired of it. We don't need people who can ski the advanced terrain on the green terrain. GTFO.

I'm confident that you guys can ski blues and blacks, but do you REALLY need to take Schoolmarm all the way to the park? I understand that most of the mountain isn't open yet, so until then I don't really care (just don't be a douche bag).

Try to understand what I am saying because this is like my second or third time repeating myself.

ALSO, THE ARGENTINE LIFT AT MOUNTAIN HOUSE IS OPEN UNTIL 12:30PM DURING THE WEEK.

THERE IS FREE PARKING AT MOUNTAIN HOUSE ON THE EAST SIDE.

MOUNTAIN HOUSE WILL BE CLOSED DURING THE WEEK UNTIL THE 18TH.
 
i got to say, ever since you moved to CO (or at least started posting here) it seems like you think youre the shit and have some kind of seniority. get over yourself... teach kids how to ski, deal with the kids you talk about, and just chill. its early season, the trails that keep everyone happy and separate are not open, deal with it.

You came on NS and bitched about people doing their "park rat shit" on schoolmarm, and "scaring" your ski school kids. Everything you said in response to my post is circular and wordy to make it seem like you're right and I'm wrong, when that's clearly not the case.
Get over it. Don't tell us what to ski and what not to ski, you have absolutely no authority over us...you're one of hundreds of ski school instructors. Holy shit, you applied to vail resorts and got a job? So did 10,000 other people.
 
its pretty simple... just dont do anything stupid on that run, it's sketch going down it i know, and it does suck skiing slowly on green runs sometimes... but if you ever hurt a little kid... you're gonna wish you were going slower... and losing your pass sucks even more.

When I can get motivated to progress myself. I've mostly been on groomers working with the old folks so I can ace my certs. But I actually have been in A51 a bunch this past week just hangin' out with the ski school park rats.

Can you admit that a lot of people do "hood rat stuff" on busy runs (that have gapers, kids, etc.)?

Can you maybe see that it is frustrating for people who takes care of customers (condo renters, Texans, people who actually spend thousands of dollars during they time they are here)?

You guys (park rats) should honestly know what you are actually doing when it comes to skiing and boarding. You are there to be in the park 99.9% of the time aren't you? There is just a time and place for everything.

I said it a little extremely at first, but if you read on I backed way off. I already get shit from the old instructors just because I enjoy park skiing. It's fucking annoying.

also, seems like some people here dont grasp the concept of "skier down the hill has right of the way"
so you're at fault if they make a weird ass turn/stop and you run into them, no matter how "skilled" you are.
but yes i do hate gapers but come on, its your fault if they hit you in a turn if theyre in front of you
 
This "hood rat stuff" affects nobody else. I don't see how buttering around on straight runs is "frustrating" to other people. I do it all the time when I want to take a run outside of the park, it's fun. Don't fucking tell us to not do that, especially here on NS.

And some of us don't all spend 99.9% of the time in the park, we aren't all there just to ski park dumbass. Ever hear of something called a powder day?
We all spend plenty of money at the resort as well. We rent property. We pay for passes. Stop acting like we get everything for free and tourists are the only source of income. I drop tons of money every ski season too, probably more than a dumb Texan that's there for a few days, you fucking dumb bitch.
There is not a time and place for everything when it comes to skiing. It's what I do for fun, it's not a job, so I'll do whatever the fuck I want, wherever the fuck I want, however the fuck I want. I don't put people in harms way, and neither do most of other park rats with a fucking brain. If I want to butter around down a straight run, whether it be your precious schoolmarm or anything else, I sure as shit will. And I know for a fact that as long as I'm not colliding with a downhill skier, spraying, or jibbing on keystone property you can't do shit about it.

Me too, but this dumb annoying Picaboo Street scissoring piece of shit had to keep telling us what to do and kept insisting that park rats don't know how to ski outside of the park. All this atomic cuntpimple keeps doing is making assumptions and stereotypes, specifically towards park rats...why she would think that would fly on NS without a mega trashing, I have no clue.
 
this is just retarded, i have seen one collision between a park rat and a gaper where it was the park skiers fault. thats it, but ive seen countless amounts of gapers and ski school kids running into people. how many times do you hear of a park rat going out of control and hitting a tree off the side of a run? hardly at all, its always the gapers who are on a run where they shouldnt. if you think the gapers flying around with their arms flayling all over the place is in more control than a park rat who skis every weekend or more then your just plain dumb.

i have no problem with beginners, i think its awesome that they are out there trying to have fun just like us, but if they cant handle being around better skiers than them then they or the ski school needs to find a better run to learn to ski.

people need to solve their own fucking problems and stop bitching about it. if the run sucks because its full of people that are better than you, then go somewhere else. thats just how it works, its like moving out of the left lane so faster cars can pass, or why rabbits dont go hang around by a wolf den. whatever, its just how it works.

resorts are wayyyy to strict about this shit anyway, we have the speed fags yelling at everyone all over the mountain, and fences and slow signs all over the place, trying to protect the shitty skiers who made the bad choice to go on a run thats way past their ability level. it would solve it if they didnt do any of that shit and the beginners stuck to their runs and the experienced skiers stuck to their runs.

crap like this was never a problem in the 70's and 80's, since people werent relying on the resort to make their skiing safe rather than themselves.

Exactly...even when the mountain is 100% you still have to at least start off on schoolmarm from the top of decrum, you can cut skiers right to those blues that run sort of parallel with schoolmarm but you still wind up on it.

I'm gonna go ahead and say 90% of the "park rats", as you call them, that i ski with are 100% more respectful of slow zones than those "texans, and people that spend thousands of dollars"...your generalizations are a little too general...and at least most of us can stop on a dime if necessary...while those death wedge tourist will just plow right into you....I hate the "park rats are dicks" school of thought...
Employees do give baggy pants and twin tips more shit and its ridiculous...I side slipped by speed patrol and still got bitched at....how much slower should I go. Should I just take my skis off and walk to the park??

But seriously, everyone should park at Mountain House if you're there to ski the park. It's less hassle and you get right where you're trying to go..
And regardless of how she went about it, calling her a "cunt" for it is out of line...seriously, she just asked for respect, in many more words, but if you want to keep skiing this year you better give it...like she said, VR told employees to have zero tolerance, so be fuckin careful, for your own sake.
 
She's a fucking ski school instructor, not jesus. I don't need to respect anything she says outside being told to slow down, which wont happen since I respect slow zones. I'm not getting my pass pulled for things said over the internet....this cunt is getting no respect from me

how about this. park rats will stay off schoolmarm, if you keep your ski school out of the park. i just about landed on a 5 year old in ski school sitting on the landing of a jump . when instructors bring their groups into the park it is just a shit show.

Whatever, fuck it. I don't give a shit. Those fucking yellow jackets are tools. They fuckin' pulled me out while I was in uniform. I don't care anymore. I'm preaching to the choir. Just stay in control. But just a FYI... I don't take my kids through the park whatsoever because that's just rude. I will tell the new instructors not to, but I give them massive amounts of shit everyday anyway. Cheers.
