Attitash Park

Theyre getting a new park manager this year because the old one just left. Hopefully Peak Resorts will just ship someone down form mount snow and they might have a decent park. Or they will find some random homeless man to do it

thoughts?

it's attitash so i'm assuming they will go with the homeless man off the street. I've skied there my whole life and not once was i impressed with the park

fuck... could be good or bad not sure what to think. hoping for good i guess

i was totally happy with the park last year

let me rephrase that... i was content with the park last year.

and yea but if this guy is some homeless guy who knows what kind of revamping it will get

and by the way... i think you were the kid that started the peak resorts bough wildcat thread - i was talking to the old head of the ability plus center (the room next to the bathrooms in the lodge near the double double) and he said the same thing

i liked attitash's setup last year but there are way too many 7 year old snowboarders blocking the landings

Attitash's jumps are pretty good the first week that they are built but the landings and take offs just get flater and flater so after like 3 weeks they suck

if you guys need a season pass you can get it through me stupid cheap. check the sig and drop me a message.

sorry to spam :)

I scored on free seaason's passes so it looks like this wwill be my mountain this year...The park last year was good enough, please don't fuck it up new guy :(

quote from attitashes site "Attitash Mountain Resort snowmaking operations are ready to go and we're eager to fire up those guns!

With a dose of cooperation from Mother Nature, Attitash hopes to be able to start making snow Saturday night, November 20.

While our ability to do so is obviously weather dependent, we're cautiously optimistic that we might be able to open some terrain by November 26, the day after Thanksgiving, which would be a great way to kick off the winter season."

woo. get pumped

i talked to one of the kids who works in the park crew and he said that theyll have 6 features up opening day with 2 on a knoll for 3 total knolls. one lane will have more expert features while the others will be for beginners. sounds somewhat legit

yeha all boxes and rails

and if they open when they plan on it they wont have one but if it gets pushed back its anyones guess

ill post anything i hear here

wish i could go opening day but going to be stuck at my home hill doing an instructor training thing. ill probably be there the weekend after

I know the event manager and there will be/was no Rail jam.

And they are opening the weekend after this one due to the rain we just recieved

wow... this is the latest ive seen them open in a while. well ill probably be there opening weekend then, anyone else gonna be there?

i'll be up there christmas too. black jacket blue (or orange) pants.

and theres about a 40% chance ill be there this weekend.

Gnar wizard im there pretty much every weekend if your there a lot meet up with me i ski around in a blck and blue jacket and or white or greenish pants ill be in a huge flanel this weekend

24 foot skinny flat box and a 3 ft wide 15 ft long box on the first knoll then a 24ft a frame and a pile of snow for hand drags and butters on the second

they were setup good so it was okay

fuck attitash right now.

I used to be an instructor there, which by the way, sucked. I asked their ski school program director if I could help out for a week over break to cop some free skiing. The deal they gave me was I have to work 10 hours to get a free day pass. That's like what, $80 worth at minimum wage, to ski there for free for 1 day? A day pass is $55. Really?

/Rant

im not keeping my hopes high for this park rebuild. i always make expectations for their park which is never met because they suck and the grooming is terrible. hopefully that will change this weekend

i havent been in a couple weeks but the setup was okay last time i was there. theyve got some nice ass boxes and rails, their jumps were a bit iffy though. and my friend who works in ski school over there said that the big metal pipe got broken by a groomer... can anyone confirm that? the thing that used to be at the top of the park

I heard all the rails are wicked sticky now because hey don't keep up with them. Also heard that the get ons to some of the rails are wierd. Like a 1 foot drop onto a flat rail

yeah, i was talkin to the parks manager Brad a couple weeks ago and he said the pipe die break. but they got a new one, or pulled out an old one. it's now at the bottom of the park though

nah, they have 7 rails and 7 boxes. not quite 100% sure on that though cuz i'm tryin to do the rundown of the park in my head, including their mini park over at bear peak
