so my english class just got done reading To Kill a Mocking bird, and now we have to write literary essays on one character. i chose Atticus because hes the easiest. my essay is going pretty good so far, but im having trouble finding quotes identifying Atticus' intelligence. they font have to be said by him, just something that proves he knows his shit.

so anyone that knows whats good, please tell me, cause this is gettin to me a little bit.
 
My english class just read that book and also has to do an essay on it. I don't remember the exact quote but a good example would be when Atticus is explaining to Scout why he believes he has to defend Tom Robinson. Actually lots of his explanations to Scout about his perspective on life are good examples.

i already have both of these quotes saying hes rational. but thatnks for posting those sites. and to that nikka up there, that sounds pretty good actually. remember what chapter its in?
 
atticus finch is a beast. i never read to kill a mockingbird because i sparknoted instead, but the class discussions were really engaging. i wish i had read the book, it seemed really good
 
haha thats how i feel. i read like 3 chaptes, but i got the jist of the book. Atticus is a christ-type character, according to my teacher.
 
lol my class just finished reading that book, we took a test on it and i got a 44. i was happy with the grade i got for only reading 4 pages of it. lol sorry man if i knew some shit i would tell you. checj out sparknotes they could have something.
 
i had to do the same thing in grade 9. an essay on one of the characters. interesting. well if you look up the sparknotes of the book, the same site will usually have important quotes.
 
The greatest character in that book is X Billups. The man's first name is X. How awesome is that? Write your report on him.
