First off, no this is NOT a thread where I want anything. I just simply have a request.
I was watching skiing today, and was thinking about pockets. I always listen to music and when I ride, and always have my ipod in a pocket in my pants. But today I was thinking it would be so sick to have a hole, closable by velcro of course, on the inside of your coat right behind one of the main pockets on the bottom of your jacket. I think it would be so nice to be able to just unzip that pocket and bam, your ipods there. Maybe I didn't explain it well so I'll attach a picture of where I'm talking about. To any of these companies who already have this, then kudos to you, but if not, then i think this would be doooppe.

Yea for sure. Either that or the jackets I've used/tried on have not had this pocket, which have been just Saga and Oakley. Maybe I just did a real shitty job at explaining this.
 
Ok so do you mean like this? Like a main pocket, say your left hand main lower pocket where you would put your left hand normally, would have access from outside AND inside the jacket? Like a big pocket space with a zipper closure on the outside and a Velcro closure on the inside? That way you could put your iPod in from either side, and access it from either side? If that's what you mean I personally don't see the point because I don't listen to music when I ski, but is that what you are trying to describe?
 
ya dood like every jacket ever invented has some sort of inner pocket in their jackets.
 
Hmm, thats weird. The ones that I have had, and my friends that I have used have never had this. I mean yes, they have had a pocket on the inside by your chest, but you have to unzip your jacket to get in there. I'm talking about making it able to put your ipod through a small hole on the inside of your jacket by the main pocket that your hand rest in. I have never seen this on any jacket. I'd love to see ALL of your guys' jackets that have this pocket.
 
no no no. The ipod would just sit in that main pocket. And these pockets are always closable with a zipper. Ya know?
 
Alright, well first off. Too all of you dudes who are claiming that every jacket you have ever owned has this pocket then you must have one of these jackets laying around, and you probably have or know someone who has a cell phone. Take a picture and post it in here, because I would love to see this. I have never seen it, so please show me.
And I don't just mean a pocket that can only be accessed on the inside. I mean a hole that goes from the inside of the jacket, into one of the main pockets that you access on the outside of your jacket. So that you can get to your pod without having to unzip your jacket everytime
 
An old Protest jacket I wore had the pocket at the chest, but it had the zipper directly next to the main zip of your jacket, which makes it easily accessible. Also some small hole to put your earphones trough. But yea like every jacket Ive owned has that..
 
OH MY GOD I HAVE TO OPEN MY JACKET 3/4 OF THE WAY TO GET MY IPOD OUT TO CHANGE IT FROM 50 CENT TO LIL WAYNE! HOLY FUCK WHAT A FUCKIN HASSLE! THEN I HAVE TO TAKE MY GLOVE OFF TO CHANGE IT!
 
Yea, I've had a few jackets like that. I mean that same concept, except connected to one of the main bottom pockets. Fuck it though.
Hate when all these kiddies from NSG discover that theirs other sections of newschoolers than just NSG
 
I have an Ipod Touch and I put it in my season pass holder thing on the bottom of my coat, I just flip it up and its there. It is really convienent. And I can select songs through it with my glove on!
 
Our jackets have 2 huge mesh pockets on the inside, and there is a little zippable MP# pocket inside one of them, not sure if that's what you're looking for...
 


mine has a pocket kinda like what you are trying to say, It is on the rightish side of my jacket(outside) and you know how jackets have velcro covering the zipper, well is under that.

Wow i dont get how people arent understanding this. Asian skier i think gots it.

He wants a pocket on the outside of the jacket that opens up like usual, but inside has another zipper or velcro opening that leads to the inside of the jacket for access to his ipod without unzipping his jacket and getting cold.

I think that was a pretty good explanation.
 
And finally someone understands what is a very simple thread/question/concept. Half the people on this clearly didn't read what the op was asking and just irrelevently claimed that there jacket has inside pockets which is to be expected.
 
Ohhhhh, I get it now, that would actually be a really nice feature. It doesn't bug me though because when it's too cold or snowing I don't pull my iPod out anyways, so it doesn't bug me that I have to open my jacket on the lift because chances are it is nice weather and it's only 10 seconds extra.
 
what i want is a little, cased pocket that can be like on the back of the jacket or someplace easy like that for you to put a point and shoot or sunglasses so they wont break
 
i agree, that would be so useful, im not sure how most of these people are not understanding this, it such a simple, yet helpful idea, props clint
 
he isnt looking for just an inside media pocket. he wants there to be an additional zipper inside on of the main pockets to the inside pocket, so you can open it up and adjust your ipod without unzipping your jacket and letting in the cold to get the the interior pocket.
 
you will still have to take your glove off to go through your songs... or to even get into your pocket and not feel like youre going to drop your ipod/mp3 player.
 
my oakley jacket doent have a specific pocket for it but it does have a pocket close to my neck if that counts
