You shouldn't go around copying icons from users who have been there for way longer than you. Be creative and get your own.
 
as funny as that was, the person who cares enough about internet forum ettiquette to have made an animation about it is far more pathetic than any 'newb'.
 
This needed to be done, but yeah, it should be somehow sent to new members, they may not ever see it otherwise.
