Ok so i have a bet going on with a friend of mine who can lose the most weight by the end of school. I'm not a huge kid, about 225, and my buddy is about 235, but its for $50. So, right now i run for about a half hour everyday and eat regular meals around 3 times a day, and drink about 5/6 of those nalgene water jugs a day. Any other ways a can lose like real fast? smaller portions/more times a day, any food or vitamins or anything? any help would be sick

eat 6 small meals so your metabolism doesn't have a chance to slow down during the day (between meals). Run more.

I have the same bet going with my buddy right now - he's going into the navy and is wicked competitive so I figured he'd lose weight if I challenged him.

yeah thats what i was thinking, but what exactly should i eat in those smaller meals? like a bottle of water and a nutritional bar or fruit/veg?

Its not so much what you eat as long as you eat less carbs/fat and calories. Fruits and vegetables are good, you also need protein too. Try and drink water and sports drinks, because those will replenish your electrolytes your body loses from working out.

human body works best when you eat many small meals a day. make sure you eat when you get up becasue that will start your matabulism and do not each right before bed becasue your body won't digest it as well. on exercise walking burns more fat than running so walkings probably your best best bet. stay away from lifting weights becasue if you really want to get hardcore onto a who can lose the most weight contest you don't want to be gaining much muscle becasue it weighs more than fat.

LSS-5 small meals a day. eat early. not late. exercise cardio vascular only. walking burns more fat than running.

Yeah. Eat like 6 small meals. Find an online diet plan and follow it. Like half a chicken breast and some steamed veggies. You can eat tasty meals and still lose weight/be healthy. Go to Wild Oats. Good Luck man. More people should do this.

Also, I have a weight-loss secret. I lost 25 lbs in 6 weeks by doing the 6 small meal thing but my secret is; GRILL EVERYTHING. Everything tastes great and the fat cooks off of meat.

no - frying, for example, is bad because it uses the fat to flavor the meat, as it stays in the pan and reabsorbs into the meat. Grilling, on the other hand, allows all of the fat from chicken, burgers, whatever, to melt off and NOT stay on the meat, as it goes through the grates of the grill's top.

ya thats right, which is why george forman grills are advetised as fat reducing fryers basically cause its on an angle, and so the fat that comes out of the music flows out into the collecting pan

try to work out for an hour every day. you can lift weights, bot not to build muscle. biking is really good. i'm in a spinning classes right now and they say that you burn over 700 calories over a 45 min session. i also figured that the calorie to carb burn is about 6:1.

Do this and run a lot. Just do something that causes you to be moving and you'll be all set. Try to run a good 5 miles or so. The distance is going to help you out a lot.

Yo Make sure you keep running everyday, like they said, like 5 miles or whatever you can do, keep your times and make sure your on a good pace, watch the carbos son, that shit is bad for you and weighs you down, then the day you weigh in, start jogging like three hours before with like 10 sweatshirts on and drop 5 extra pounds of waterweight, beat his ass out wrestler style JEA

My friend was able to drop 15 pounds in two weeks by eating nothing but nut and seed bars and beef jerky. Needless to say, his farts smelled like death.

Firstly, muscle ways more than fat. Pretty sure you knew that... So is it weight you want to lose, gain muslce, or increase tone of your body to a healthier standard?

Since you said weight....

Eat about 6 small nutritious portions per day, try for more fruits and vegetables. You'll need carbs too, because you're body can't function properly if you want to cut them out completely.. Fish isn't bad. Drink water, juices that have less sugar, tea is awesome too actually.

Lifting weights will not hurt u especially if u do high reps. In reality ur not gonna gain much weight at all from lifting and when u lift ur burning calories. Plus muscle cells burn a lot more calories just sitting their. By gaining muscle u can help yoursllf loose weight and maintain your lower weight.

i work at a fitness center, cut your daily intake of food in half. i know it gonna suck. but eating half as much as you regularly do is the best way to cut weight. keep drinking lots of water and walk and run more

yeah u need to be workin out aswell as runnin break it down into a plan like thighs and chest twice a week and cardio three times a week and mix and match calve and arms and wether or not u think u should or not work on your back as well but what ever your willing to do will all help but make sure u are still eating alot of protein so your turning fat to muscle instead of losing everything.

DING*DING*DING*!!!!

winner. biking is one of the best cardio workouts you can do. and contrary to popular belief, its not just your legs that get worked out, its great for your arms, muscles in your back, and shoulders. go buy a cheap used road bike, and start puttin miles on. if you ride 20 miles a day, i garentee the fat will just fall off. plus, its low impact, and since your going alot faster than running, you actually get some breeze and stay cooler. you can prolly find a decent bike for 100-300 bucks, if you dont have a decent streetable bike already. a decent XC bike will work fine too, just get some slick tires.

I don't know if this has allready been said cause I was to lazy to read the article, but, some fats are very healthy and essential to loosing body fat. An few examples are nuts, olive oil, avacados, ect. Also timing of everything is important. It is better to run in the morning, before breakfast, instead of later in the day. It is important to eat after this morning exeercize so as to aid recovery. When you do cardio try to do interval training, where you go really hard for a minute or two then go easy, then back to the hard and so on, this will burn much more fat then if you were to pace yourself evenly over a long stretch of time. Diet wise try to intake more protein and less of the other stuff and eat carbs as needed. For example if you are going to do a really hard cardio session one day, then eat a lot of carbs, if you are taking the day off, then try to minimize carb intake. Also track yourself every few days or so and write everything down, weight bf%, waist, ect. Hopefully this helps.
