Attention all killington freestyle skiers.

Fuck not starting rumors. I HEARD THAT ALL THE EMPLOYEES ARE GOING TO BE LAID OFF MIDWEEK AND WERE GOING TO HAVE TO START UP THE LIFTS BY OURSELVES AND LOAD OURSELVES ONTO ONLY @ LIFTS ON THE WHOLE MOUNTAIN
 
fuck the rumors... killington is going to be open ALL WEEK. they arent clsoing any part of the mountain on certain days for the exception of pico, which i think is closed from wed-fri or something like that not sure. I also heard that killy is going to make you pay to park and bus you to the main lodge just like Vail, which is fucking gay. Also, people who get free passes from there parents working there or whatever only get to ski for free, no 1/2 off on food or 1/3 off on retail.
 
Pico is closed tuesday and wednesday, and they will be cutting back a few lifts on midweek. I haven't heard anything about paying for park, but i doubt that will happen, because they are already charging huge amounts for their passes. They haven't decided what the pass situation is going to be for employees and dependants. i know that during the summer, you get 20% off food with a staff pass, but that could change. they could even get rid of the dependant thing, and they haven't made up their mind on the local pass either.

You might be hearing things from the wrong people, because most people who work at Killington will tell you the same things. The people who have the higher up jobs, and didn't get laid off know the most about what will happen, and they are usually right.
 
All you kids should listen to Adreniline before you go and get your panties all in a bunch about things you nothing about but only fueled by rumor a spectualtion. Ever hear of a place called Park City? A place that has probably the best park in the world? A place that is flagship home of Powdr the new owner of Killington. I think Powdr's track record speaks for itself...Mt. Bachelor,top 10 rated park by TWS, Park City #1 park rated by TWS, Boreal All MTN park rated top 10 by Fuel TV and builders at SnowboarderMag superpark the last two years.....

I doubt Powdr wouldn't give the same support and resources to the Killy park program.

PC park was good, but it wasnt nearly as good as I thought it would be. They dont know how to set up rails well, but the jumps are nice.

If who ever can get free day tickets at Killy I know a bunch of people that will come and film early season. Killy is a fucking bitch to get comp tickets out of for filming.
 
My dad used to work retail for Killington, and he knows a couple of employees who work retail there now. They've been having meetings and in them they talked about how the new people who bought Killington wont be opening Bear on the weekend. Not really a rumor...
 
killington wont close bear during midweek, thats outrageous and a stupid thing to say. Not sure about you guys, but i remember late season when they closed bear for a day, it was the most crowded day ever at killy, and that was extremly late season. so they opened it back up and it was prime.
