Attention all killington freestyle skiers.

yeah, apparently ASC took wildfire away from the park crew, which was where the good park was 2 and 3 years ago - which forced them to put the only full park on dream maker which is pretty flat - but they could have set up about 15 other rails that they had lying around and could have used their imagination and made some other cool jibs

hopefully there will be a good trail for the park this year

wildfire was the worst trail ever for a park. Killington doesnt really have any good trails for parks though, it sucks. Dream maker would be a good trail for a park if it was more rail orientated rather than jump orientated because they cant have big jumps there anyways. I think Skyeburst(trail under sky peak quad, the slow one off of bear) might be a pretty good trail for a park cause it's steep enough and relatively straight... might be too steep in parts though.

are yuo serious? i saw and heard from people that it was the steepest landing killington has ever had. you must be thinking of a different jump

yea well your hearing from me that its not. maybe the first 5-10 feet was steep but after that it was back breaking.

haha this thread is out of controlll i dont even want to be the one who startred it anymore, hahive barely posted on ittt

i dont have brain cancer just a need for snow.

were you skiing with a bunch of girls like 14/15 years old? i was riding around throwing 3's off kickers in bear trap with a redbull in each hand.

i only rode with one kid all year because thats when i lived in ny and uhh hes like 4'9 tall but hes 2 days younger than me..haha idkkkk

talk to bomberhats because we do have a summer setup at his house but we havent done anything with it since last fall

and they did have a jump on viper pit, but it took up the whole trail, and lots of people complained.

i wouldn't expect much from killington this year, because of the new company. they are being gay fuckers, and closing down the k1 gondola midweek, and only having ramshead and snowshead open for food during the midweek. honestly, i don't know if Powder will make the mountain any better than what ASC did. they are underestimating what killington makes, and closing everything midweek.

that sucks that everything is going to be closed mid week because i plan on skiing alot midweek if i can get my school scedual "fuck i cant spell that word" fixed so it isnt so gay and i have a class like every other period which would suck

dont look for friends on a website in the middle of august, show up in december with a sick camera and meet kids there and film then. and dont try to act like a boss around kids especially if they are better then you.

yo where the fuck are you coming from, im no filmer, plus i found a group of kids to ski with, im not gonna boss people around but im not gonna be somebodys bitch either. seriously if you would read ive already said this is an off topic post now since i dont need anyone elses input on what it started out to be.

ASC let the infrustructure of killington go to shit. They let that resort rot. It's going to be a long project to rebuild that infrustructure. As it stood, killy was losing money the way they operated. Good they make money on hotels and food, isn't that the point? you have to pay for your resort somehow. the snowmaking system, pointing to one area of decay, was in shambles. It was very old and so it's the first thing to be "improved" and redone. In future summers everything else will get it's chance at being worked on. Instead of bitching about a pass that's been so low for a resort that didn't care about letting it's infrastructure go to crap, look forward down the road to riding a better resort. not all capitol improvements take place right out in the open where you can see them, and they aren't going to happen the first summer of new ownership. but ticket prices will change the first year of new ownership, they have to pay for all the improvements they need to make now and in the future somehow, and it's not all going to come out of just the pocket of the ownership, the resort chips in for most of itself.

if you are gonna make edits and get your crew out there you are gonna need to have a cmaera to film with thats all.

well they better make money this year because they just fired 60+ employees last month and they realy havent done much for the rest of the resort ecept the snowmaking which they put a couple million $ into i heard. and they are going to have shit open midweek this year.

I'll go full corporate on this one.

They are looking at what killy did for their resort financially. Going through their books and all that jazz. That's what you do when you buy a new business, you go through and see where they are losing money and where they aren't and make changes accordingly. The first season things will be different just for the fact that on paper this was losing money or that was losing money. it's the nature of the beast.

But don't say powdr doesn't care, or are being gay. you have no idea how stoked people are to have killy part of the company, and how excited they are to be able to go through and help rebuild a resort that was falling apart.

of course powdr will do better than asc. asc spent a shitload of money at the canyons trying to build it up as a mega destination resort and was losing money left and right. They were in massive debt. Not to mention all the other resorts they tried to build up so quickly. Where do you think all your money you were paying to ski killy was going? outside the resort to keep the company afloat.

Like I said, going through the paper trail and making changes over the summer to try and make the season profitable sucks. It sucks to make the transition from a shitty ownership that ran things badly to a new one that makes money on all it's resorts... Give it time and everything will smooth itself out. of course not everything is going to be fixed the first year. that's like buying a ski shop in february where the previous owner hadn't sold any of the product and your sitting on a huge inventory. you have to knock down your expenses and knock down your prices and try to become profitable. (not that anyone would buy a shop like that...)

and the millions in snowmaking, is pretty much replacing everything and starting over. the snowmaking system is so old and is such a money leak. a new snowmaking system not only is more efficient but can help lower operating costs and provide a better product.

sorry, hopefully you and your crew make it big like 4bi9 or stept that would be cool to have a good group of kids riding out of killy again

Bear Mtn. is only going to be open on the weakends is what i've been told. Witch is probably one of the more gay things to happen in killington. Fuck the east.

yo dont start roumors dont tell people what youve heard, they cant do that or the lifts would be overly crowded and there would be too much chaos for the events they have every year. NO MORE RUMORS =[
