Attaching pvc

put basicly on the ends of the pvc some bolts...this means pre drill and put some pic bolts into the wood then the pvc...then just take some big screws and put em up through the bottom...this is what i did and mines held up for over a year
 
What i did, was just drill holes with a drill bit through the top (it doesn't make a difference with sliding). If you are paranoid about it, just make them more on the side. Then take the screws and drill into the wood. That is the only logical way of doing it.
 
and your pvc will be way less likely of ripping out or becoming loose. just drill the holes in the top it doesnt effect the way it slides at all
 
ya but since you cant reach into the middle of the pipe to put a bolt on the other end of the screw, you can only put screws on each of the pipe right near the opening and that means its easier for the pipe to loosen/fall off
 
Put 2 screws in each end at different angles, 8 or so going through the bottom up but be sure to pre drill the holes and then liquid nail between the pvc and wood for extra support.
 
the trick is to pre-drill the holes. then put the screw through just the bottom layer of the pvc...you are SET.
 
Seriously a bad idea, borrow a neighbors drill. and just drill the wholes a wee bit bigger than the head of the screw and VOILA...trust me
