Attaching PVC to wood

Ok so i mad the whole bottom half my 8 foot flat rail and i have a long peice of wood on top. Any ideas on how to connect the PVC to the wood?

drill some holes into the pvc then screw them to the wood

^ you could do that or you could drill a large whole in the first layer of the tube ( bigger than the head of the screw then just put the screw all the way down and through the bottom layer of the tude

somtimes you just got to take off your pants and slide on the ice
 
its a countersunk hole. when you go to drill something and you dont want the top of your screw sticking out you take a big drill bit and drill a little through what ever your drillin. then take the smaller to drill all the way through. they even make countersink drill bits so you dont have to keep changing drill bits.
