Where is the best place to ride thats close to Ottawa, i want to check out some places. I really dont live in Ottawa i live in Arnprior, if anyone knows where that is, but whats the closest hill to kenata thats worth going to.

well bro, you definitly wont get anything too special in term of vertical, but edelweiss and stmarie had pretty decent parks last season. Fortune is supposed to be stepping it up a little bit this year. They:re using all the park equipement we had at stmarie to try and do something respectable, hopefully it'll work out because last year was a shit show....and plus fortune in like 15 minutes from downtown ottawa.

 
Evry single place sucks. Your best bet is Fortune tho. If they move their pipe and put in a park it will be huge. David Crichton is meeting with them to see if he can designe a park for them, which would be sick.

Wow, a fortune superpark that'd be cool...

go to altitude, it's outside Papenauville on your way to tremblant, it's the sickest park in the east...

but you walk up, but it's still the best place....

Papineauville, or however it is spelled, is a place created by snowboarders. It consists of damm good tables, rails, and even a 1/4pipe at the bottom of the run. I also think they got a ropetow with the little circles that go between ur legs. St. Marie sucks ass, too far for not enough. If you're going to drive that far you might as well go to Sauveur, unless you need that BearBus that goes to Marie or something.

 
TREMBLANT!!! well it's like 2 hours away but sice i used to live in mississauga it's pretty damn close for me!

rdoes anyone know how ste maries park is gonna be this year. and did i misunderstand or did some guy say that theyre talkin all of ste maries park makin shit (rails, pipe dragon, etc) and movin it to fortune?

yeah man, for jibbing shit, no place is better than Altitude, in papinauville. I had some sick sessions there.

Ste marie has the best pipe, fortune is hella close, and edelweiss is ok if you don't pay.

Hey all..since the Suderman brothers bought st marie, there is more money to play with..the tentative plan, which we as members of the ski parol at fortune, have been trying to get going for the last 2 years, is a decent park with a pipe, 2 or 3 tables, and maybe some rails, NOT on pineault, as we are sick of pickin up little kids that kill themselves on the crappy hits that were on pineault. the only issue now is to put the park outta hiking distance, because mgmt is concerned that riders will simply hike up and session the park without buying a ticket.(whatever) but it shoudl be a good winter, fortune already has a pipe, dragon, if we can jsut convinve them to actually pull it out more than once a month, and to get started on teh pipe pronto. so hopefully forutne will finally become more newschool, and send soem of the racer crowd over to st marie. So alli can say is IF there is a decnt park this year at fortune, support the hill, buy a seasons pass, call and tell em how great it is, cuz we been fighting for 2 years to get a park, and there was supposedly 'no money to be earned in that area' so prove em worng, make the fortune park work.

 
good fuckin luck with that man, that'd be awesome if they had a sweet park..id be there every night..I was there every day after school to hit the pipe..every fucking day. then last year, they didn't have one..that was bullshit.

Tremblant is tha shit. but if you're lazy and don't wann drive 2 hours, fortune is okay. You just gotta jump off the chair and go through the trees.
