Atomic Twins -- Any Good?

I'm thinking of getting a pair, are they any good? Any complaints? I'm riding some old Max Trix 181s now, and I'd rather have a lighter ski so I can spin faster...
 
i won some tweaks in a comp. and i fucking loved them, lasted 3 goos seasons untill they delamed, but i will prolly buy another pair they were that much fun.
 
are you kidding me? low end? foam core? super noodly? cheaply made? have you even seen a atomic ski before? all i know is that the urban triplets have a wood core and that all atomic skis are high end.
 
have you ever actually skied them?

ive been on next years urban punk and holy shit.

same dimensions as the urban triplet at 107 84 107.

so yes they can be mounted either way and they have a symmetrical flex pattern which is soft as hell and amazing for butters etc.

im pretty sure all the skis have wood core now except MAYBE the HP. next year all skis are sandwhich
 
the triplets look sick, its the ones just called "atomic twins" think they are the most bargain basement of twintips.

I also rode old Mad Trix, and just converted to a pair of Urban Triplets. I can't speak about the quality cuz I've spent only two days on them, but they are fun & light skis. I center-mounted them, so they require a bit more effort out of the park than I think they normally would, but all-in-all, a pretty fun ski.

If you get a good deal, go for 'em.
 
the "Atomic Twins" you speak of are junk, the triplets urbans are light as hell and alot of fun in the park. It has a very soft tip and tail, but It stiffens up real quick under foot, a little to quick in my opinion sometimes making it difficult to get out into the buttery zone.
 
ive sort of gone through skis over the years..and these are by far my favorite..atomic hooked me up so i am biased because free skis are ill..but they are an awesome ski..before this year they were shitty..super heavy and no flex..but they had consultants come in from somewhere (this is what i was told so it could be bullshit) and used there knowledge and the quality of a race ski..atomic race skis or even skis in general are real nice..as you might note based on the price tag..have fun with those skis
 
high end? Sure....i dunno what world you have been living in but Atomic have been making shit skis for a good while before this seasons triplets came out. They were all cap, foam ( the worst foam too, it would melt in the summer....it was a recall on the tweaks a while back). Now if the twins are followin that same ol Atomic formula they are going to be caca. I heard that the Thugs, and the Punks are sick though.
 
dude come on now. Throughout the history of Atomic they have been known for making quality, lasting skis.
 
my triplets own everything, including all the other park skis, use the damn searchbar.
 
NO, MY BUDDY BROKE HIS THE FIRST WEEK ON THEM!!!!!!!

there was some internal damage. and started to crack from the inside. this is the 08 line.

 
update, my buddy has gone through about 3-4 pair, if you dont care about how long they last, they are a really sick ski, there have just been some edge problems
 
i have skied deviants and triplets and they are both fun skis. definitly consider them. and if you are looking for a pair of 181 deviants mounted with p10s. i have a pair. looking for around 200$ have about 5 days on them.
 
What are you talking about....every twin that came out of atomic before the urban triplets are CRAP. I know, my brother had the tweaks, and the stomps, not to mention that i got to ride a pair sugar daddys. All CACA. They had the durability or a twig, no pop because of the foam, and the edges would just come out in the summer. The only good skis that came out of atomic back then were their race skis.
 
Yeah really light i have the urban punkx and there sweet they have a honeycomb material in the tips so they have really nice swing weight. soft as fawk. really fun ski.
