Atomic Tweak 172 w/ look p12 jib binding for $400 or Volkl Expression 178cm w/ Marker 1400 eps bindings for $350?

Tweak. I've never ridden them, but I can't imagine its not better then the expressions (which I have).

wow, I never thought I'd see the day where a the expressions are better than another ski. I Love volkl, just not those.

hmmm...didn't see they were markers.....

tweaks suck ass. The volkls are actually pretty sick, depending on what you want them for. but markers suck....looks are much better.

I would still go for the volkls. easier the swap bindings then skis.

volkls marker bindings dont suck that much i havent had one bad release in a season and a half

than you ski like a pussy.

marker prerelease worse than salomons. I've seen and experienced it so many times that I refuse to even touch them now. The only way to ski markers is to run the din extremely high, but then you put your knees at risk.

or, you could be really light. I have a biology lab to write up and that is why I'm in a bitchy mood.

One of my friends who was ~130lbs broke 3 pairs before he just couldn't take them anymore. I think I would die if I skied markers.

tweaks are sweet skis, thats def the best choice especially with the p12 in there

Expressions are stiff, solid, strong, decent "pop" that is to say they aren't dead weight under your feet. Be warned, you will constantly look down and wonder why your skis are so skinny. The dimensions are terrible in terms of width. The ski would carve better if it had dimensions to work with. Regardless, i got my expressions for cheap as well, and mine have shitty graphics, but i still ride them, and progress on them. Go for them, just don't expect powder skiing, or tight turning.

The Expression is FAR from being a stiff ski. The Explosiv is a stiff ski, but not the Expression. The new Dogen is much better than the Expression. As far as Tweak vs Expression, I would have to go Volkl. It has much better edge hold than the Tweak did.

I have explosives and they are far from stiff.

Volkl are some of the strongest skis on the mkt. The dogen is sick. Get that if you can otherwise, Expression. Actually the blue tweaks are ok i guess. But still go for volkl. Their skis are bombproof too.

I think the tweaks would carve better because of the racing background and the base is made of the same material their race skis are.

The Tweak skis much better all mountain, but I did not have as much fun with it in the park as the Expression. The Atomic I felt was a little to snappy for landing.

i love my volkls dude, go volkl, i can make em rip all-mountain, and after three years theyu are still awesome, they hold up so well

go volkl i did some retarded shit on my expressions last year n they held up very well... 2 years ago when i was about 5foot 3 i snapped a pair of tweaks not even halfway through the season

Expression is the better choice

even when i go small, i go big

I don't know what expressions you were skiing, or if you have ever used a different pair of skis, but if you compare them to other twins, they are very stiff. Not THE stiffest, but compared to other park oriented skis, they are definitely up there.

I was comparing the Tweak to the Expression. The Tweak is stiffer with the B4 construction that Atomic uses. I have skied about 95% of skis out on the market. I felt that the Expression had some beef to it, but it was still far from being a stiff ski. I was not just comparing it to twin tips, I was comparing it to skis in general. Do not forget that much has to do with how aggressive a skier compared to another skier on the same ski.

go volkls im getting the expressions so go with em, theyre good especially in park and not the best for all mountain but wtvr, go for them

if your looking for strength and a good overall ski go with the volkls, but the tweaks would carv better and i have a friend that has the tweaks and he rides park on them and says their ok.

Okay lets add head madtrix to the mix amd take out the expressions because i want to be able to carve. so shouls i get madtrix or tweaks?

I have Tweaks with P12's and LOVE them. Since the Atomics, I doubt I'll switch away from Atomic. They are stiff compared to mostly all twins and take ice like its not there. I'm 50/50 all mtn/park and they work great. Good pop, light, carve great, ect. Not a bad thing about them IMO for what I'm doing. And for the record I have read TONS of review on Tweaks and talked to TONS of people who've skied them and have never hurd anything bad other than personal prefs.
