Atomic Stomps

My rep let me ride them at the end of the season. I get a chance to ride lots of skiis (i work at a shop and am sponsored by another one) so I get a chance to ride lots of skiis. In my opinion, they're the most versatile fat skis around. IN the east I'm not sure how often you really need a ski like this. Last year's Tweaks were a lil squirly in powder. This years sould be much better but if there's a lot, the wide underfoot of the Stomp is key (especially landing fakie and learning rails). If you want a more versatile ski for the east that actually carves nicely and is really responsive, hit up the Tweak. If you're doing lots of backcountry airs, get the Stomp.

Later.

good luck tuning them.....they are'nt flat...like most atomics

Jaykyu, whats your atomic reps name that goes to your shop, I was wondering if he is the same rep that goes to the shop that I work at. Also thanks for the input

95 percent of atomic's bases arent flat. no shit. their concave....if you look down the base of the length of the ski, the base rises by the edges and portrudes in the middle. compare. not with a new ski, but one with a half-season on em. the type of composite base material they use is different from most others. its reacts to temperature change different. dont let people blow wind in your sails.....check for yourself.

2 friends of mine both bought stomps at the start of last season. One of them delamned his shit twice, from tip to binding toe, and had to sent them back to Atomic, the other cracked all of his edges, BEFORE he started sliding rails. At least Atomic had some quick turnaround times for warranty.

I've never had any problems tuning my Atomics. At the worst, you may have to use some elbow grease and flex your wax scraper to get all your was off.

hence: if you have to flex the scraper to get wax off in the middle portion of the base, you dont have a flat ski....rocket surgury...i think not....
