Atomic Punx vs. Volkl Wall vs.Armada T hall

I cant decide between these three skis for next year (Atomic Punx, Armada T Hall, Volkl Wall) I'm about 5'11 160 pounds 14 years old. I under stand they're different in many ways, It will come down to what length. I do about 70/30 rails and jumps. A lot of switch landings. I enjoy a soft ski but i also like stiff skis for jumps. So it's between the 181 T hall 182 Punx and 185 Wall.

Can say anything about the thall or phunx but the walls are STIFF, like really really stiff. So if you at all want a softer ski I would avoid them.

Do you know where the mounting point on the T hall is? I want a center mounted ski i land switch a lot, what else would be a good ski? i wont even consider anything shorter than 178.

Definitely mount t halls at center. I have a pair of t halls and volkl walls and IMO the t halls are a much more fun ski. Probably the best park ski I've ever ridden. The flex is on the softer side but still poppy. The edges are bomber thick too

considering i'm 5'11 do you think 181cm is big enough? and how do the T halls hold up if you land back seat or front seat

Yeah 181 is huge. I'm 5'11 and 190 and I ski 173's...I like it cause it's not too much ski to deal with, but still has plenty of play room to butter around on. so I would recommend 173-178. But it's personal preference. I have a friend who skis 181's and loves it

Well i want to start going to some bigger mountains and maybe start hitting some huge jumps. so Maybe a 185 wall is to stiff but a 181 less stiff ski would be okay. Which would be better for doing big jumps with equal amounts of rails. The Punx or the T halls

go with the 176 thall-will hold on big jumps and spin fast and easy on rails with plenty of butter room.

181 is pretty big for a park ski for someone my hight and im 5 10. especially since they are full camber skis. yuo will just have more fun on the 176.

by the way i ride thalls and they are one of my favorite skis i have ever ridden so fun in every aspect of skiing(except pow)

This is pretty good advice. I'm 5'11 and 170 and I ride 176 park skis for mainly rail use And 181 for jumps and all mnt. If your doing bigger jumps like you said above I would actually look at the 181. Also for bigger stuff prob go for te ar7. I have some thalls an they are really fun but they are soft so for bigger stuff you will certainly prefer the 181 ar7.

If I do want a stiff ski would the volkl wall be a good choice? Another thing is I'm still growing, and i'm only 14 and i'm 5'11 so i'm thinking i should get like a 182-185 because I like big park skis, and if i grow after i buy them they wont be how i want them.

I would not go too long yet. Like you say you are only 14 so even though you are quite tall you wont be anything like as strong as say a 20 year old who is also 5'10. Strength has alot to do with it. I can throw a 181 around fine, but I will be quite a bit stronger then you. So that is one factor to consider, the other is they are park skis. They will break, so get the size that will work for you now, so 176-181. By the time you grow its quite likly you will need new skis anyway.

well i'm not entirely sure which muscles it is that you're referring too and i suppose you're probably right but I think i'm going with the 185 volkl wall, I like the idea of a stiff ski, I like longer skis more, plus I like the symmetrical part to the Wall. And I heard they have a very low swing weight, they're lightweight and they can hold an edge really well. Which is important because i live in maine and its very icey, cold, and hard packed

I bought the walls, i sat down and decided what i wanted and that was a longer stiff ski, good for huge jumps and really stable. But the walls also have low swing weight and ski weight

i just got mine in the mail they are almost exactly 185 theyre like 184 and they look way cooler in person than in photos, they have so much detail theyre sick

Walls are a great ski, I've owned 2 pairs and they were awesome. Now I ride t halls and they are a whole new level of awesome
