Atomic punx thumbs up or down

im considering buying some atomic punx and i was really wondering about some feedback from some owners on how they perform and what the flex slash stifness.

They are a super fun ski. They are pretty narrow which makes them super fast edge to edge but you need need to be slightly more precise on them, so not a beginner park ski. They are soft in the tip and tail but med stiffness under foot, they have tons of pop too. The new ones have a little rocker which will just loosen up the tip and tail slightly.

Also worth a look are the infamous. They are much more of a jib ski, and I actually prefer them to the punx. Once the real ones are out next season they are going to sell really well

Totally not relevant but i just got mine in the mail today!!! With FKS140. Thinking of sleeping with them tonight.... Maybe I'm just weird.

Bring on Aussie winter!! 1 1/2 months to go!!

But more serious from all the advice i seeked and information i researched they are a pretty amazing ski as far as last US season is concerned!

This years are super fun. They are soft, buttery and light. Next years are going to be stiffer i think and 2mm wider.

hows the durability because i have heard some stories but i guess there will be stories like that with every ski but it just seems like there is alot of stories of there durability being sub par

They have good durability. the only issues ive ever heard are with edges which they improved this year

The durability is in par with any other park ski. When I jasmine I was working for amer so had to lend them to who ever needed some skis fast. They got used hard but were fine. For reference max morello was using them for a while and all he did was rip out a badly mounted binding, so unless you shred way harder then max you will be fine

Every single ski will become softer and. Rocker after about a season of hard use, it's to be expected. I have had every single pair of park skis I have owned rocker in the to and tail. Honestly though it usually just makes them more jibby and if you get more then 2 full seasons out if a park ski your doing well.

I have a pair that I got a couple weeks before the season ended and I love them. Super flexy and playful. I haven't had enough time to really say much on the durability however. They're holding up fine so far.

ok, just for referenec of the flex how much do you weigh and outta /10 what would you put the flex at, 10/10 being stiff

My punx have held up very well season, but they did seem to lose some pop and rocker a little by the end of the season. still a great ski though. i weigh 150 and i would put the flex at 4.5 out of ten

they hold up pretty good on all the jumps i hit (around 40ft if im spinning, idk what ive hit straight airing). as long as you dont land way backseat they are fine.

I had a pair of 09/10 punx, the red / black / white ones

I found them a little too easy to flex for my liking , im about 205-210 lbs though

pretty durable, they can take a beating, edge to edge doesnt make that much dif , they were 82 , alot of other park skis were 86 , 4mm aint gonna make a difference

Great in the park , i didnt find them very stable on the groomers at any decent speed , probably because of my size and i found them soft so could overpower the ski

I went to a stiffer park ski which gave a better performance for myself

ill give them the thumbs up, maybe better for a lightweight skier though
