Atomic infamous skis

I purchased a pair of the 2016 Atomic Infamous skis (purchased because I read decent things on forums and saw them in store one day) . My thoughts were that they were really stiff and un-responsive. Felt poorly made and just very average in general.
Really hard to compare the two however I purchased a pair of the J Ski's Allplay's a few months ago and got to try them out in NZ 2 weeks ago. They felt about 1000x better - a lot more playful, responsive and just all around better. It is like comparing a ferrari to a ford but yeah I wasn't too overly pleased with my Atomic Infamous'. However it is all up to user experience.
N.B. - I used my Atomic's in Canada, USA, Australia & NZ so I have a good variety of conditions to test them out in.

Those skis are so shitty no one even knows if the pros actually even ride them (or if they're just infamous topsheets on Punx skis).

I skied the 2016's for two seasons in the Midwest so like 4 months total. As far as stiffness I found them extremely flexible compared to anything else I've skied on par flex with line blends. Other than that and the graphics I din't find anything to special but what can you expect for 300. The pop is okay. But the construction is pretty awful it wasn't bad at first cause I wasn't doing very large features but by the time I was done with them one edge under foot was missing and the others were cracked in multiple spots. Side wall had stuff hanging off and one tip has a crack the whole way across( that one is my fault). The ski is also pretty jittery when you get up to speed. I would say ride them light or just expect to buy new skis in a couple months. Let me put it this way I have a pair of 70's era k2 skis that I took out on gaper day and their edges held up better.

My friends who have had the Infamous in the past broken them, but I skied the Punx during the 14-15 season, put them through at least 70 days of abuse on big jumps, disasters on dfd's and such, and the edges are only partially cracked (about small cracks 3-4 per ski) but are perfect besides that. I still use them as street skis today. Great ski. I do not think that the Infamous will perform as well, but every one is a different skier and they may fit your style/body build. The Punx is more competition oriented ski which fits my style, and the Infamous is a little more buttery I believe. Good luck with em though.

How much you buy em for? Half the people who buy skis don't even set themselves up for success. People complain about edge cracks after 5-10 days because they don't fucking detune the edges. Detune your edges heavy if you ride a lot of rails. For a 300 dollar ski they should perform fine, nothing special. Take care of them, if you don't detune and shit every ski will fall apart quicker.

Honestly the worst ski in the industry. A friend of mine had his for a day, wasn't even hitting rails. Edges blew out and the tip came apart to.

They are a price point ski - as long as you bear this in mind then there's nothing wrong with them.
You've already bought them... but next time I'd recommend getting a couple of laps on any ski before you buy - borrow from a friend, rent, demo fro ski store, whatever.

My dude, I've been on the 15-16 Infamous all last season and brought it out to Hood this summer as well. It is definitely not the greatest ski in terms of durability but it isn't terrible. It's not overly stiff to ride nor does it lack pop. There's honestly nothing special about it but it's not too bad either. Really you'll have fun with whatever your shredding, the Infamous doesn't take away from that.

The edge on my tail accually ripped out on them last weekend and the shop just gave me a pair of 14-15 punx skis new and unused for $60 because my skis have a warranty for a year and when the infamouses come in there just gonna sell those at the shop, and I just used the punx skis on pvc rails and their nice
