Atomic Freeski Team = Legit

Yeah, they had a solid team a few years ago but they never changed their stuff or improved it. It was shit anyways so who cares, good luck to Rossi but I won't be buying any of their stuff again.

they still do have a solid team, Kye, sage, ian mcintosh, and dan tredway.

although thats not park, its still fuking strong!

fuck I wish I could quote JD just to shut you kids up.

fuck all you who think im an idiot. just because im not a fan of corporations and dont want to buy their skis makes me dumb? what the fuck? who are these people on ns? This is why im so tired of trying to put out an opinion on this site it just gets so fucking twisted around in unknowledgable kids minds and spat out to be something completely different.

did you not read my post kid? fuck, I HATE CORPORATIONS AND COMPANIES THAT OWN COMPANIES. dont trust them never will they are what is wrong with this greedy, money driven world but thats another story. No I wont buy rossignol because they are losing money I fucking hate rossignol. never owned their skis never will.

The point im trying to say is that I would rather have my money go to a passionate skier/ski company owner, who just wants to share some sick ass skis and new ideas with the world, rather than a company who will exploit new ideas and just mass produce it. Im into garage set ups, making skis by hand with help from friends, testing yourself. rather than some asian fucker who has never even seen what the things he is making can do and doesnt understand them more than being just another penny added to his daily salary (okay so im sure skis aren't made in asian sweatshops im just making a point.) I feel more of a connection to a company who I can call up and probably even talk to the owner on a good day rather than a company who has a telemarketing team or call centre.

I like skis with personality, not a ski who joe the plumber could pick up at his local sport check for his weekend on the slopes. Sure atomic may make a quality ski and sure they could have the best durability or flex or whatever, but the ski doesnt have character. its not individual. its a piece of wood with plastic and metal thrown in and a crappy graphic placed on top.

there legit for sure!! i got me a pair of urban punx and they feel legit i just cant wait to ski them!!! im so stoked on atomic for sure. ill probably stick with there skis for awhile now.

I'm sorry to ruin your non conformist parade, but all skis are a piece of wood with plastic and metal thrown in with some graphic placed on top. Your saying you won't buy a sick ski because it doesn't have character? what the fuck are you talking about? damn joe the plumber

Have you seen their new line of boots the Hawx that they introduced in 06/07ish? They are the only boot like that, and albeit not a "freeski" boot, it fits amazingly well and is an amazing concept. Do your research before you start saying that a company has not made any innovations worth noting in the past few years.

I have been involved with Atomic for a long time now. going on 4 years. While not an athlete par sey, I have been skiing on their skis, repping them on the hill, in the shop, and in town for a while. They have taken care of me every step of the way.

Atomic knows how to build relationships. Albeit they did have squabbles, but that happens in ever relationship. For such a "souless, heartless" company, I could not be happier with how I have been treated by everyone involved in the company.

plus their skis are fucking on point

what the fuck are YOU[/i] talking about dude, you are not making any sense "its a piece of wood with plastic and meta; thrown in and a crappy graphic places on top" THAT IT ALL SKIS DUDE!!! maybe not the crappy graphic but who cares, a lot of people do (especially gapers) buy their skis because of the graphics but that shouldn't change you opinion, and atomic's have a pretty sick graphic
your retarded, not many skis are made in garages by hand with friends, some companies are definitely smaller than others, but that really shouldnt matter to you, if your a real skier you know best what kind of skis you like, it shouldn't matter who makes them
and dude, read the thread title, what is so bad in your opinion about the atomic freeski team besides the fact that they ski on "atomic"? they have a freakin sick team so obviously they are doing something right. If you ask any member on the atomic team if they cared if it is a big company or a small company i would bet that not one person would be like "oh, id rather have my skis made in a garage" think man
i understand what your saying about having a relationship with the owner and feeling like a family, but obviously atomic is making that happen because most of the athletes on atomic like the skis for sure and how they are treated...
im not saying you should go out and buy a pair, im saying that you shouldn't not buy a pair because of how big atomic is
and don't call me kid, it's fucking annoying, think before you speak, you are the only one is this whole thread who doesn't like atomic because of their size, so all im asking is dont be so gad damn mad at atomic for making a good ski

i steer clear of atomic because they screwed me years ago in a sales contest when i was a shop employee. i was like 15 or 16 and my buddies and i sold a shitton of atomic gear to get points that were supposed to be redeemable in prizes, and noone ever got their shit.

Atomic skis are super sick and their support in the industry is top notch. I would really recommend trying a pair, pretty sure you will find a new favorite ski,

haha k2 they're core as fawk! havnt seen them in rental shops world wide ever! atomic's skis are siq. i'd recommend them.

'08 Atomic Hawk H 110 Ski Boots

The Atomic Hawk H 110 is a brand new boot for Atomic. The Hawk series

of boots allows your forefoot to flex in combination with the shell in

the foots crucial metatarsal zone. The Hawk boot delivers better

balance, more performance, precise and efficient power and of course it

is also easier to walk in.

GIMMICK! wow they cut pieces of plastic off the side of the boot so the boot can flex....if anyone wanted their boot to flex, they would buy a pair. every shop i looked for these has them on sale, which means they dont sell which also means the technology is worthless. if skiers wanted their footbed to flex they would start wearing snowboard boots with plastic uppers.

yea i realized this when 44 days came out...HELLA legit team.
just ordered some high rolla 110s to support the cause!

ohh the Corperations, yes it is the Corporations fault. yes companies are bad, they are trying to make money and that is bad. Moment, Line, Armada, and the rest of those guys are good because they arn't trying to make money. They just want to make skis, not money.

The guys at Atomic, Dynastar, Rossi, K2, Salomon, love skiing just as much as you do. Maybe even more as they have devoted their life to it. There is not alot of money in the ski industry (outside of realestate), If all they were intrested in was making money they would go somewhere else. All of those companies have huge sets of design teams that are constatnly working on inovations with their product. And which companies can you call up and talk to the owner? Boone?

So do small companies use something other then wood, plastic and metal? oh yea they use glass, just like the big companies. the big companies skis are made the exact same way, except they can probably afford better equipment and molds, thus enforcing a higher quality control.

MARK POMYKATO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well soup, as you messaged me angrily about my previous comment I realized you were right, I just insulted your points without explaining my reasoning, and I apologize for that. Well, here is my response to your statements. I hope you are pleased I look forward to your counter arguement slash messages insulting me.

I don't really want to get into some stupid internet flame war with you. Your way of thinking about corporations however is extremely immature and not well thought out. You criticize atomic, yet the fact that they made 44 days with a serious and renowned film maker from the industry, and then releasing it for free, shows they have a commitment to the free skiing world. You will probably argue that was just a scheme and a way to advertise, and you are right, but they wouldn't spend that much money to advertise in an area they weren't committed to. Your understanding of corporations is clearly very juvinial and you should learn to develope your thinking outside of the realm of a hatred of all things regarding capitalism. There are certainly flaws in capitalism, and some very great ones, but as you and I live in a capitalist market, and company that wishes to survive will have to use a capitalist business plan. Even companies like Armada and Line who I am assuming you support, and that's great, they also follow capitalist business plans. Now, you seem to want companies to provide new ideas and skis to the ski world. Although companies have been releasing movies for free for a while, producing an extremely high quality movie and releasing it for free to the general public is very revolutionary. You will probably refer to joystick doing it first with hot lunch, which was an awesome movie, but they were done at the same time, and atomics movie was about 3 times longer. In that regard I think it is fair to say that atomic does put new ideas into the ski world. Not to mention they made the triplet, which seemed to fail on the market, but it shows their attempts to try new things. You want companies to try new things and release new ideas and higher quality skis, congratulations you have just exhibited capitalist ideas. In order to remain afloat in a competitive business world, especially ski making, it is extremely important to try new things. It seems to me that you like to make assumptions without any real knowledge on the fact. You say you hate corporations just because they have the word corporation for them. However, atomic is publicly held, which means all their records are much more accessible than a company like Line who is privately owned, which means you really have no reason to trust any company more or less. In another of your unfounded accusations you accused atomic of not treating their team well, of course you were soon shut down by Ian Cosco anyway, so I won't bother getting into it. And I'm glad you like skis with personality, that is great, and I'm sure you think you made some extremely deep point in saying the ski has no personality, but it doesn't mean anything. What about another companies ski makes it have more personality. If you are going to make that argument please explain what makes a ski have personality.

Say Gimmick all you want, but have you skied a pair? It is worth it to try a pair out (granted they fit you). A lot of people bashed Line for the wide ski's saying that they was no need for a ski to be that wide. As for it being on sale in stores, I still see last years SPK on sale in most of the shops I go into. Guess that means it's worthless technology.

fail. plus, havent people been complaining about how ski boots should be more like snowboard boots for years?

and soup, i hope the "character" of your skis outweighs the performance
