Hey, Im buying Armada JJs and these binding come mounted on them. I just wanted to know if they are any good or if anyone has any experience with them. Im a light guy so the DIN is not an issue, just wanna know if theyre any good

As a shop tech FFG / STH is a great binding with good durability if not sometimes some silly colors. They are a great option for powder skis because they are light, durable, and super easy to get on in deep snow conditions. The only downside is the plastic-non driver toe but if you aren't going to be dropping 40 footers, doing chads gap or weigh 180+ lbs this binding will do you well.

See if you can find the STH12 Driver it's a superior product. Sure it's a little pricier but they are burlier and will probably last you longer.

Surprised no one has said this yet, but the FFG 12 is not actually an STH series its the z series. So you dont get the sth heel and it uses the standard Z series toe. There ok so long as you dont go to hard on them.

The heel track will break on you if you ride them hard, this was the reason the STH came along, for skiers who needed more then the standard heel piece.

So it depends. If your small, and dont ski too hard they will be fine. If your bigger or skier hard so long as you dont mind replacing the heel track ($10) when it cracks you will be fine. Its a very easy fix btw so not a big issue.

If you mean the FFG 14 it depends which year they are from.

Last season the FFG 14 was the old STH 14 OS. Its better then the z series which the FFG 12 is but not as good as the salomon STH 14 which has the driver toe. The heels are the same though.

This season there is a FFG 14 team which is the same as the STH 14.

Overall a STH Driver binding is the best, next comes a STH OS, and finally the Z series.

no problem man im pretty much done with it anyways haha. but im a light guy (145lbs) but ski pretty hard
